I heard the he as Henry not Murray ie if Henry had the same small # of carries.Hmm, he said "if" Henry had the same amount of carries (implying as Murray) his production would go up.
He said no pitch count (which I read as "hot hand")
Which to me means stay away from both in redraft
Regardless, it's a definite shift. It is not (and probably won't be) Henry getting all the work, but Henry had games with like 4-7 carries last year while Murray's touches were near 20. I definitely get "more" from that. How much more was not said and that's what everyone wants to know.
If I am guessing after a very good preseason by Henry, I think Henry is classified as the starter, but I think it's more 50/50. You use a beast on 1st down and Murray is one of the best on third downs, so I think Henry will officially be the starter but it'll be 50/50.
Murray played the slot on third down the first 3 or 4 weeks while Wright was out and led them in receptions then. If Henry gets a significant amount of work, we're going to have to rethink all the projections. He has said twice that there would be no shortage of work for Murray. Decker, Taylor, and Davis are new. He lllllllllloves Murray and Murray came through for him last year. He may like the new talent, but they haven't earned his trust or faith like Murray did. I don't know how, but if Henry gets a lot of carries, I'd bet $ it messes up projections for everyone but Matthews. It will be interesting to alter everything
