Titans 2018 (1 Viewer)

Hmm, he said "if" Henry had the same amount of carries (implying as Murray) his production would go up.

He said no pitch count (which I read as "hot hand")

Which to me means stay away from both in redraft
I heard the he as Henry not Murray ie if Henry had the same small # of carries.

Regardless, it's a definite shift. It is not (and probably won't be) Henry getting all the work, but Henry had games with like 4-7 carries last year while Murray's touches were near 20. I definitely get "more" from that. How much more was not said and that's what everyone wants to know.

If I am guessing after a very good preseason by Henry, I think Henry is classified as the starter, but I think it's more 50/50. You use a beast on 1st down and Murray is one of the best on third downs, so I think Henry will officially be the starter but it'll be 50/50.

Murray played the slot on third down the first 3 or 4 weeks while Wright was out and led them in receptions then. If Henry gets a significant amount of work, we're going to have to rethink all the projections. He has said twice that there would be no shortage of work for Murray. Decker, Taylor, and Davis are new. He lllllllllloves Murray and Murray came through for him last year. He may like the new talent, but they haven't earned his trust or faith like Murray did. I don't know how, but if Henry gets a lot of carries, I'd bet $ it messes up projections for everyone but Matthews. It will be interesting to alter everything

Not playing tonight for @Titans: Mekale McKay, DeMarco Murray, Demontre Hurst, Corey Davis, Karl Klug

Secondary is the same as it ever was.  McCown 3-4 for 75 yards and a TD on the opening drive.  They went at Ryan twice for 68 yards.  Byard did make a couple stops in the run game though.

Henry 6 and then 10ish. Supernaw in and doing well (2 TE)

Mariota was sacked by Williams. Spain pushed him well into Jones then went after another guy. Looked like communication, discipline issue. Spain did his part well

next 3 plays 3 WR

rrrrrrrrrrrreally curious how much 2 TE how much 3 WR

Sylvester Williams in now, 3rd NT by subs. Awful for a big free agent signing. He's gotta step it up

Interesting.

Do the Titans have better personnel for the 4-3 instead of the 3-4?

Sounds like coverage is still the main issue.
Probably but they switched few years ago and aren't going back. Just Lebeau mixing things up. They played a lot of 5-3 last year

I liked refs and trainer forcing Tanney to go thru concussion protocol even though he seemed fine and didn't want to

3-4 with no blitzing LBs looks so weird from Lebeau

Clever 3-4 set, Dodd goes up to line, they shift to be in 4-3, then opposite end backs up to be back at 3-4. Weird. Never see the D shifting like that

Moore replaced Lewan

Matias finally in, huge hole but my eyes fell for fake. RB didn't have it.

Tanney wasted so much time

Fluellen in, ran for 8

Tanney sacked but again took long time. He threw two passes that looked identical to Douglas then Taylor. A medium throw to Taylor was too late after his break, DB got there.

Tanney is messing things up

Daquan and Sylvester in this series as 4-3 DTs

Dodd replaced Carraway as Brown makes another nice stop

Wallace almost got sack then FR. Right there for handoff, they muffed it then recovered

Halftime

Daquan has played a ton with very little at End. That's a big change

Carraway clearly ahead of Dodd. Carraway has done nothing except not been burned. He covered fine and rushed in fine. Didn't make a play, no passes his way. He CAN get after the QB and did so in college. Dodd has gotta be better one dimensional player or pickup pass coverage.

Wallace has played a ton and looked solid. He seems to have been given that roaming type freedom. Woodyard didn't play much

Brown has played OLB and nickel safety (TE cover-er) He hasn't played ILB that I noticed

Titans OL hasn't looked good. It's nice to have confidence in Grimm fixing that up

Tre, Taywan, and Raiders guy are flying. Weems made a play as a gunner on ST, but they followed him up beautifully. He does not have an edge as a gunner.

Jalen Marshall(right name?) caught my eye for FF. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on him this summer.

Tanney held forever and walked into a sack, DL was stood up and he reached around Moore to get Tanney....ridiculous

Marz is now in at LG. He was fine at RG. If he does fine here, he makes the team. He played both T spots last year. If you can play 4 spots on OL, you're gonna make it

Taylor had a reverse than dropped one he should have had....probably.

Titans OL OK that drive, but the backup TEs stunk. Cunningham missed two blocks, then Amaro did.

Boykins and Reed's versatility...after Reed made a play, they were unsure who at S who at CB, then Boykins makes a play.
Reed was CB then S, Boykins was S then CB

DeAngelo Brown tackled RB on holding play and pressured QB on another

3rd NT that's been playing well in camp too. He must be real far down the trust list though. This is like 4th 5th string when you add in Lebeau's clever sets

Tanney seems to have zero elusiveness.  Anyone gets close, and down he goes.

Couple of bad sacks that I'd expect even an average QB to see and evade.

beau brinley gets no love. To be able to snap it then go tackle the returner takes a whole lot of hustle

Wallace played much of third Q as typical ILB, not freelancing and didn't do anything all that noticeable

Backups are showing that h-back like offense. it shifts from 2 TE to one caddy corner on the T and the other a FB
