Anyway able to confirm how Williams looked today?
Seems that Gray got his chance.
Who should I be stashing this off season?
The entire defense gave up for a bit and then they played alright.
Gray kept tackling Taylor on runs up the middle after six yards and the announcers complimented him.
No! Meet him at the LOS and every yard from it should be less complimentary.
I'd give him that he was tackling and not letting him past him. Kudos for being well aware and looking like he belonged in his first action.
Sweat looked like the team MVP and I mean that when he was absent. The Pats stink without Brady or similar. The Titans good hungry journeymen DL were awful when he was injured.
The ILBs regularly had OL on them and it was fast. Brush aside Coburn and get an ILB. They all stunk then.
I had a difficult time seeing the D presnap live yesterday as happens sometimes with the camera view.
I saw Williams dart in fast a few times and not make a play. It happens, whatever. I'd see him chasing but without presnap view I have no context.
I'll have to report back after I rewatch.
For next year- I wouldn't bother. I've said all year how unreasonably deep they are. If Gray starts next week, he'll be there 7th or 8th starter at ILB and they all have some merit plus they loved Chance Campbell who had a great preseason then went on IR.
Better GMs would trade some and improve elsewhere.
"It's good he had them. They needed them" is a debatable point.
Another example- The Titans have 9 OL and have had 16. All but two have played tackle.
The GM has weird types he rolls with. How about adding a guard that plays guard? An OLB that plays OLB?
I can't imagine a new GM with a ton of ILBs on his 53 and certainly not all starter worthy.
I would simply avoid their ILBs or take a shot and hope if the FF roster is especially deep.
