Titans IDPs (1 Viewer)

Anyway able to confirm how Williams looked today?

Seems that Gray got his chance.

Who should I be stashing this off season?
The entire defense gave up for a bit and then they played alright.
Gray kept tackling Taylor on runs up the middle after six yards and the announcers complimented him.
No! Meet him at the LOS and every yard from it should be less complimentary.
I'd give him that he was tackling and not letting him past him. Kudos for being well aware and looking like he belonged in his first action.
Sweat looked like the team MVP and I mean that when he was absent. The Pats stink without Brady or similar. The Titans good hungry journeymen DL were awful when he was injured.
The ILBs regularly had OL on them and it was fast. Brush aside Coburn and get an ILB. They all stunk then.
I had a difficult time seeing the D presnap live yesterday as happens sometimes with the camera view.
I saw Williams dart in fast a few times and not make a play. It happens, whatever. I'd see him chasing but without presnap view I have no context.
I'll have to report back after I rewatch.

For next year- I wouldn't bother. I've said all year how unreasonably deep they are. If Gray starts next week, he'll be there 7th or 8th starter at ILB and they all have some merit plus they loved Chance Campbell who had a great preseason then went on IR.

Better GMs would trade some and improve elsewhere.
"It's good he had them. They needed them" is a debatable point.

Another example- The Titans have 9 OL and have had 16. All but two have played tackle.
The GM has weird types he rolls with. How about adding a guard that plays guard? An OLB that plays OLB?

I can't imagine a new GM with a ton of ILBs on his 53 and certainly not all starter worthy.

I would simply avoid their ILBs or take a shot and hope if the FF roster is especially deep.

Is Gray a start week 17? I am always looking to get better at my LB3 slot. Q Williams just dont cut it anymore, and Speights is just okay.
My site doesnt even list Williams for TEN, nor Charlies for IND. I put a bid for all my remaining FAAB money on Gray.

They signed Raekwon McMillan to the PS just in time to mess up the chance to see the younger players play.

With nothing to lose, why not let the young guys play over a chop like McMillan?

That's the expected thought.
Hoping it's true.

McMillan timing is so odd.
I'm never gonna downplay keeping the roster fluid but I'm concerned for the young guys playing time

I think LB here are going to feature heavily in my off season cuts this year.

My head is exploding at what to do if these guys take a ILB in the first 3 rounds in the draft.

Long failed his physical. A K was signed not an ILB.

When asked about Jerome Baker who they said they were sitting for the rest of the season- coach said it's all hands on deck at ILB. (PK)

Gray and Williams were very active on rewatch. Williams does look fast and I'm still obsessed with the bad 40 time. He caught Taylor down field a week after catching Jamar Chase. How is he 4.61?

They both need to be coached. Williams is sooo eager to make a play he flies everywhere and sometimes you can tell he didn't think first. Gray thinks too long. I'm hollering go, go, GO! He recognized a screen and was there instantly to wreck it. Excellent speed then but I really didn't see noticable speed from him.

As I said earlier, the DL was horrible when Sweat's eye got poked and he sat. The rookies were dealing w a nightmare scenario and I was impressed with effort.

I meant to look up Harrell's snaps. It seemed to me Key and Landry were easily blocked and lacked fight when Sweat was out. Harrell seemed to play more and like the other rookies "die trying."

There's a high number of plays that the rookies are the ones chasing down field and not quitting as coaches say.

Hooker was again chucked aside like nothing a few times. I wonder if he lost "it" this year and should be traded. The rag doll look is so bad. He still looks darn good otherwise. It's just...ya gotta play him differently and re-coach that stuff in drills next year. Second game in 5? weeks that he was oh so easily tossed aside

Reese is out.
Gifford will have the green dot.

Blaine Bishop liked what he saw from Gray. Amidst the struggles, he thought he saw an "it" factor.
He's a fan of every defensive rookie now.

Gifford cleared protocol that quickly?
Is Gray going to be the other LB this week?
It didn't seem quick to me but concussions have been wonky all year for predicting. It's probably a good thing for the players just not for FF

It hasn't been said.
More quotes about getting the youngsters time but coach also said Baker is suddenly up.

FWIW
Cosell said he saw some good things from Gray. The game isn't too big for him and that was exactly what the Titans needed to learn.

He mentioned Williams speed again shows on tape (my obsession) but he didn't watch him that much. He's been watching and he can see him struggle with the switch from safety and then thrive and he's just gotta get time to acclimate himself to the position switch.

What he did see against the Colts was bad gap discipline or the rookies hit the wrong gap. He talked about Sweat's absence and other DL not playing well too. He mentioned a DL brushed aside and where's the gap and radio host talk back n forth.

Much better worded version of what I said

Ernest Jones was a great get and then poor trade.
Here he's upset about someone somewhere calling him a cancer and look at all the replies

I absolutely appreciated him too and he sure wasn't in TEN.

Sneed arrested and being sued.
My fan experience has taught me that this won't be adjudicated til next year.

Football is beyond big in Texas and I never expect any player to be found guilty regardless if they did the crime.

My non lawyer self thinks they'll have hearings that will delay this for reasons I don't wholly understand and ...I'm not usually wrong with the above thinking.

Despite the PFF grade, he only allowed half the passes his way to be completed and for never more than fifty yards. He was as advertised.

Waived

DT McTelvin Agim
G Logan Bruss
DT Isaiah Iton
DB Gervarrius Owens

Contract Terminated
LB Curtis Bolton
WR Stanley Morgan Jr

Bolton was a Titan for a brief moment

Desmond Evans story can best be that he was a top pick out of high school and a bust in college.

The intriguing UDFA was truly a five star recruit and has the bod and athleticism needed but...my fictitious summary above.

Interesting project

James Lynch re-signed and is returning.

Mini camp news has been almost nothing.
The Titans about have predefined starters except for LBs so we're gonna need some pads on

Oluwafemi Oladejo bugs me because I was here for Kevin Dodd and some others and just draft an Edge! Why select projects so high?

I've watched a bunch now.
Oladejo at ILB looks to me like OMG what force at the line, what an attacking mindset wow. But when the RB gets past, I'm yelling go get him. What are ya doing? Are you jogging? Oh there you go. I don't think he has balancing sort of hip movement to shift and chase. He does other times though so I'm wondering did you think you were in traffic and couldn't get out of it?
On short yardage, some of his snaps are up there as far as best ever. Ya can't do better than putting an OL on his rear. He can be OMG violent smash type.
College coach moved him to edge midseason and with no experience he doesn't have any moves. I can see he learned some and kudos for learning but most of all he's just uncoached playing with heart. I applaud this but at the same time why would you draft this guy in the second?
At the senior bowl, supposedly everyone loved the guy. He really took to learning and his effort stood out and he gave the top T prospects a lot of trouble in drills.
I'm still at "sounds like a good project" though.

I need a coach or scout or wiser than me to tell me what's with the pause when it comes time to chase because every edge snap is not "go get the QB."

I assume he'll do very well tackling backs that go to his side. What ILB playing edge wouldn't? But that's theoretical and he has to beat the T and maybe the TE and he is not starting with the space ILBs get between them and defenders.

Harrell's mirage of a great summer last year...idk what to think, but this second rounder has to play

Jermari Harris is a big time UDFA signing. He got 3 mil. I think I mentioned him earlier.

Statistically he's up there with the best CBs and apparently no one doubts the kid is a player.
He was suspended for gambling one year.
Last year, he was getting frustrated battling injuries and got permission to not play the final few games to get ready for the draft.

Then he skipped some drills at the combine.

This is untitan like and what are ya doing new GM Borgonzi?
Well he's a nice interview and seems like a good kid that messed up.
Apparently he teared up asking his coach to not play too and they had a meeting that they slept on and talked again the next day. So "quit on team" might be harsh but if coach gives his blessing after a meeting I'm gonna assume there's some good in there.

His freshman year (first year) he did the usual dirty work and asked for more and apparently this caught the Titans eye too. Idk that I've ever heard a college coach brag on a kid wanting to do freshman chores.

Either way, alright roll the dice on this kid, could definitely be a steal.

Snead is taking part in mini camp.
Injury concerns I guess are minimized or healed up enough. It's a bit early and there hasn't been a good update.

Still waiting on news from his arrest.

Never forget Bud Adams son, Kenneth Adams IV is one of the best lawyers, has worked for the league, and is a part owner. He will both make sure the Titans don't do anything that can be construed as encouraging bad behavior and follow every single rule or policy. Unfortunately there have been a lot of off-season that we're reminded this guy is an absolute gem.

Femi caught everyone's eye today.
Crazy, psycho, high energy, look at him, what hustle, he doesn't turn off....loved all the descriptions.
Shorts
Rookies
But still cool

The Titans have been quite active with their top spot on the WW.
Anyone have any thoughts on their 4-5 additions?
I've liked Orji for a while but if he couldn't get meaningful snaps with the Saints, hard to see where he fits. Like you said with Oladejo, he seems like he's all over the place but in his case, isn't always a good thing. Perfect seek and destroy special teamer though.
