TJ Duckett - Lelie - Graham 3 way (1 Viewer)

Dayne > Duckett

Bell > Brown

Dayne and Duckett are basically the same guy. Brown and Bell are basically the same guy.

So Lelie will go from #2 in Denver to #3 in New England, i guess he wont like this trade.
Branch #1Lelie #2

I'm not sure who you think would be #2? Can't be Caldwell, he couldn't even do anything as a Charger.
Even if Lelie were to come to N.E. and be the #2, Chad Jackson has infinitly more potential.Plus he's impressed everyone in camp so far (not easy to do in N.E.)

Oh and the whole point is moot because Belicheck isn't brining in a guy with such character Q's as Lelie.

I generally respect your opinions, but what are you basing this on?
Dayne and Duckett are basically the same guy.
I do agree that Dayne and Duckett are very similar RBs, Duckett has just been more succesful, and IMO is the better back.

I would have to agree with this. Duckett > Dayne at this point in their careers.
Well, I take that back, just looked up both of their stats......Ducket= 31 TD since 2002

Dayne= 17 TD since 2000

Yardage is pretty close too with Dayne having played two more seasons than Duckett.

I stand corrected...... Duckett > Dayne

Geesh, I was hoping for a good discussion here. ;)

He led the league in success rate in 2004, with a ridiculous 61%.
Give that credit to Vick and the o-line. (ATL is ranked as an elite rushing offense - none of that is due to Duckett) I've seen Vick get hit on a normal hand off. The end is always chasing down Vick because of the bootlegs. Sure helps when the LB/DE is shading/running at Vick on a run play.

Regardless, I still maintain he's a bad short yardage back. He runs like Chris Brown. He almost never falls forward. He constantly gets pushed back on initial contact. He loves to break it way outside. He's a big man who likes to avoid contact and use his speed. He SHOULD be a great short yardage back. He's quick, big, strong. But he plays like he's 190lbs.

Maybe I'm biased. But his style does not match his body. I'd rather give Dunn the ball on short yardage or goal line. And it looks like the Falcons agree.

There's lots of times stats don't match reality. Dillon had a bunch of goal line TDs last year. He's a below average short yardage/goal line RB.
I agree that Vick helps open up the running game, in much the same way that Jake Plummer (the best bootleg QB in the NFL) opens up Denver's running game. Coincidentally, Duckett outranked all Denver RBs in success rate that season. He was PHENOMINAL that year. Of course, he was PUTRID last year, so I don't know where that leaves us.Also, the Falcon's DON'T agree that they'd rather give Dunn the ball on short yardage or goal line. Do you know how I know this? Because Duckett had 8 rushing TDs last season and Dunn had 3. I think that *CLEARLY* demonstrate's Atlanta's preferences. It also shows who Atlanta thinks is better in short yardage situations.

When you post childish comments like this try to get your facts straight. Nice attempt at fluff, you sure duckett had 43 yards last year? Where you get that number? Cause it's wrong.
Uhh. Try reading instead of spamming fluff piece. Last 5 games, 37 attempts, 43 yards. I said ENDED the 2005 season. Final 5 games = ended. If you need me to clear anything else up let me know.
No reason to get snippy tough guy.
In all fairness, you got snippy first.

Javon WalkerRod Smith

Deion Branch

Rookie.

Lelie will be a #2 in one town and a #3 in another, but I think you're confused as to which is which.

Well, if you're just looking for a discussion...Ron Dayne = 3.7 career ypc

T.J. Duckett = 3.9 career ypc

Atlanta's O-Line >>> New York's O-Line

Also, Dayne hasn't played two seasons more. He's played one season more... but more importantly, he only has 86 more carries. I'm not making the arguement one way or another, I'm just saying it's not really a slam dunk either way.
