**TNF on Prime - Bills 7-3 at Texans 5-5**(+6, 43.5) 8:15 (2 Viewers)

Let's see
Josh Allen versus some guy named Mills...hmmmm
A defense that seems to enjoy watching their quarterback play Superman every week and forgets they need to stop somebody once in awhile
And a defense that's one of the best in the league...hmmmmm
Thursday Night PRIME TIME
The Visitors are used to being in Prime Time
The Home is not...hmmm
I would take the home dog for sure
Can they win outright?
I'll say...

Mills Brothers- 26

Allens Army- 23

Buffalo can be different on the road this season, short week and heavy travel.
I feel like the Texans have a decent shot at an upset tonight as long as their defense can get off the field, force some punts and FG tries
Should be a low scoring game in general

Texans 22...Bills 19

My guess is the Texans defense keeps it pretty close most of the game until Allen pulls some magic out of nowhere and suddenly explodes for a couple of TD's. That's assuming Houston doesn't turn the ball over too much right out of the gate. HOU turned it over twice to the JAGs to start the game two weeks ago (Mills 1st pass of the game and then on the subsequent kickoff after the Jags FG, IIRC.)

Too bad Ed Oliver isn't playing since he's a Houston guy (I got to meet him when he was a junior at UofH.)

As someone who has Allen in fantasy I hope I'm wrong but this does not look like a great matchup for Buffalo. The top scoring defense, playing at home, while also getting 5.5? That's usually a good time to take the points.

Bills have probably been the hardest team for me to get right. They suck at so many spots, but it often just doesn't matter. This is a top-5 offense, without a top pass catcher, and a bottom 10 defense with a great pass rush. Josh Allen is 0-4 in his career against the Texans, and its been ugly in those games, with a 73 passer rating, and only 3 total TDs in 4 games.

I think Josh Allen has a better game than his career numbers against the Texans suggest this week, but worse than his other 2025 numbers would suggest. The Bills have been great when they get the lead early, but get in trouble when they get behind, for the most part. I wonder if this game ends up going similar to the Atlanta game from earlier this season. I'd start Allen and Cook (and I would lower expectations for him) but pretty wary of everyone else. I think Allen will be frequently pressured by the Texans pass rush. I expect a lot of Allen running.

I LOVE Woody Marks this week. My only fear is Nick Chubb rears his head again in a run heavy gameplan, but I think the Texans have lots of rushing success. I'm personally not sure Mills has really been a downgrade from Stroud, that's more about Stroud than Mills in my opinion. Bills pass rush could be deadly if Houston gets behind, but if not, I expect the PA game to give Buffalo nightmares, especially on in-breakers to Nico Collins. I think the Texans need this one more, and I also think the Texans are WAY better than their record, these teams are pretty equal in my opinion, Texans have just had some awful luck, with injuries, and just general bad breaks, with 50-50 losses to the Rams, Bucs, and Broncos.

Texans-28
Bills-14

CMC's worst fantasy game of the year (9.8 pts) was against the Texans who are 3rd for rush defense statistically. So as a Cook owner I'm not expecting much tonight. Where Houston has got burned in the rush game though is running QB's getting loose late in games so Allen may still be in line for a decent fantasy night.

I wanted to share how much more enjoyable TNF is when you have a 3-day staycation planned for FriSatSun
When your S/O or spouse wants you to pour them a drink and play some groovy tunes while you silence the booth and watch the game
I know it's hard on the players and I've been vocal about the NFL moving the games to Friday or incorporate as many teams coming off a Bye into the TNF games as the NFL can schedule
All that said, Thursday Nights are kind of fun as a weekend preview
Also like to do a clean up blitz as I call it in the hours leading up

Hope we get a decent game tonight even with CJS out

I love Thursday night football.

My weekend starts now every week.

Regardless of what I have to deal with professionally on Friday.

My gut feeling is to bench Allen for Stafford for sure and probably should bench Allen for Goff too but I left Allen in both leagues my teammates wanted to play him I just have a very bad feeling about tonight Houston is no joke on D.

I have way too many player shares in this game.

Nico
Cook
Woody
Gabe (gasp!) & Hutchinson (it’s been that kind of year)
Schultz
Denille Hunter
Al-Shaair
Tweet Bernard

Thursday’s are rarely generous to me.
:sadbanana:

I hate every bit of it. A pox upon humanity.
