**TNF on Prime - Steelers at Bengals**(+5.5, 43.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Can a QB be comeback player of the year after being benched and traded in the same season?!?

Anyway gotta love Joey F!

WHO DEY!!!

-QG

If the Bengals win the Super Bowl you have to start thinking about HOF consideration. Passed Wilson tonight for 15th in yardage.

Cinci +5.5 and I have no idea what the point total in this one is gonna be

We got a 40 and a 41 year old QB starting tonight that most felt were on their way out of the NFL, not starting Thursday Night Football games
But here we are so grab a beer out of the icebox and get ready for to enter the Jungle
Off to a good start for the weekend, just took down a 12-man Survivor in 6 weeks, we already lost one on the reload this week with the Steelers tonight
I'm on a heater right now, wish I could dial it in for 2 or 3 specific games on Sunday.
Rams -3, Bears -5, Panthers -1...2 are road favorites which are not the best games usually to bet on

6 noon games on Sunday includes 1 game where both teams have winning records and the 6 worst teams in the league. At least 1 of those teams gets a win. A really nasty one is Titans at home vs Pats. Trap city.

If Vrabel wasn't coaching NE, sure. Vrabel is going to try to score 50.

ffffff
I know the Tomlin haters will be out in force tonight. But the Bengals and Flacco played great. And some brilliant play calling.
And the Steelers got shredded by a 100 year old Flacco, run all over by the worst running offense in the league but Tomlin is a legend. Same @@## every year with this clown.
Lol like I said….
Not sure why you still like this idiot. He's terrible, has been for a long time
Becausw I don’t think he’s an idiot. I think that, after Andy Reid. Tomlin is the best coach in football. So we are wayyyy apart on this.
Delusional, not even close. Exact reason Steeler fans have suffered so long and will continue to suffer because this guy gets a pass. Just because he's been there forever.

Nice job, Cincinnati.

Tomlin crying in that press conference. I have a ton of respect for him, but lost about 25% of it when he signed Rodgers and then the other 25% with the Flacco whining.
I had to do a doubletake when the announcers mentioned Tomlin being critical of the Flacco trade. LOL. I can't believe he had the nerve to bring it up to the media. Imagine being skeert of Smokin' Joe Flacco.

It's none of Tomlin's business. It's really weird considering he had ARod fall into his lap. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this.

Was this the best performance by two 40-year old QBs in an NFL game ever? Both in real life and fantasy football.

Brady and Brees faced each other twice in 2020, but they both didn’t have this performance in the same game as far as I can tell.

My jaw almost hit the floor. I just spent the week beset by flashbacks of what Aaron Glenn did to my team last Sunday. I think Tomlin took the coach spotlight (and I am not doing the "Skattebo is a lot like Mike Alstott and Peyton Hillis and let's compare them" thing) right away from Glenn, which I thought would be nearly impossible to do, but apparently the entire national media missed Tomlin's lip quivering and tear formation while he was doing it and they thought this was actually too much bravado for us girly men to understand. Oh ho! Mike blasts Cleveland something fierce! Take that, fencers!

LOL. Cincinnati was ready to give up on their year. Do you think the Bengals' owner or GM or front office is still actively shopping Trey Hendrickson after they just put up 33 on what is apparently the Paper Curtain? They surely did not miss that they're 1 1/2 back and they must realize that Aaron Rodgers took 8.5 seconds to throw a TD pass at one point, which broke some personal or team record or something like that.

Are you ****ting me? i'm reading these articles regarding hypothetical Hendrickson trades, and I'm just laughing my *** off. Maybe they'll trade him if his back is broken, but otherwise . . .

eta* Cincinnati is 3-4, 1 1/2 back of Pittsburgh's 4-2 and Cincinnati is 2-0 in the AFC North (their division) and 3-1 in the AFC. LOL. These guys are laughing all the way through their quasi-bye week and into next Sunday, a day on which they will host the Jets on 10/26.

We're looking at 4-4. Then it's the Bears on 11/2 (okay, that's a tough one for a .500 club with a bad defense), and then they have a bye week to prepare for the Steelers in Pittsburgh on 11/16. Lordy.

Baltimore and Cleveland are both 1-5, by the way, and everybody is talking about Baltimore making a run. I'm laughing again. Has the average media member watched the steaming pile of defense that the Ravens are?

Shocking that a coach and QB would go out of their way to target the best player on their team instead of “spreading it around” and involving lesser players. Maybe some teams will take notice 🤷🏻‍♂️
Even more shocking that an in inept coach refused to cover that player at all. It was like Chase was at one of those college workouts for scouts where someone just throws to them and no one else is on the field.

PIT doesn't have anyone that can cover Chase. They play man and count on a pass rush. I'm sure they thought they could get to Flacco last night, but it didn't happen. That should be the concern.

My point exactly. Tomlin has no ability to adapt, oh they play man oh well it is what it is. That's awful coaching.

Man, zone, shell... it does not matter. If they cannot get to the QB, they will get shredded by teams with real weapons.

But the point is he didn’t even try to change anything at all in the 2nd half.

I think Steelers fans fall into the same trap every year (myself included). They have a middle-of-the-pack roster. Seriously, back in July what were we all thinking... this is a 8-9 win team and probably competing for 3rd place in the Division. Did anyone think Aaron Rogers makes them a title contender? He's 50/50 to finish the season. He almost got taken out last night by his own lineman in celebration.

Gotta give the Bengals some credit here. They were not as bad a team as their record showed... they just needed someone to get the ball out to their WRs... who are outstanding (arguably the best tandem in the NFL).

It was a good game. Could have gone either way. Flacco played perfect. I kept waiting for him to give something back but it didn't happen. Dude can still spin it!

It sounds like you don't like Tomlin.

They look right on schedule, but the great start raises expectations.
This is why Tomlin was so mad about the Browns giving the Bengals Flacco. He can throw the ball. If it's as simple as find #1 and throw it to him, Flacco's as good as anybody. The problem is the Steelers didnt make it very difficult to do that in this game. Flacco is less good when he has to figure out what to do in a timely manner.

I'm embarrassed for Tomlin.
