Do you feel the Steelers can advance in the Playoffs? They haven't done so for a while, yes?The Steelers sure didn’t look like they for real coming out of the gate but the team looks like it might be starting to jell.
The defense is healthy and the offensive line is coming off its best game against what is thought to be one of the better defensive units.
That said it’s a short week against a division opponent and anything can happen. Putting pressure on Flacco is paramount cause he has the accuracy and weapons to make you pay.
The Steelers have an opportunity to take a huge lead in the division, I hope they don’t come out flat.
If they can stay healthy yes I think they could advance in the playoffs, especially if they win the division and have a home game. Would one playoff win appease the people calling for Tomlin's head? Probably not but it sure would be nice.Do you feel the Steelers can advance in the Playoffs? That's what the Steelers' fans are always complaining about and wanting to move past Tomlin and find a new coach
I think the Steelers are a fraudulent 4-1. This is a .500 caliber team that has only a +12 point differential.
...Arthur Smith running Joe Gibbs playbook in the 2nd half.
Tomlin has a pretty terrible record on Thursday nights.I think the Steelers are a fraudulent 4-1. This is a .500 caliber team that has only a +12 point differential.
Super Bowl darling Eagles have been outgained in every game so far and have a negative point differential on the season.
Two teams tonight going in opposite directions... PIT 38, CIN 13
I tend to agree with this more than disagree.I think the Steelers are a fraudulent 4-1. This is a .500 caliber team that has only a +12 point differential. Basically, this team is no better than last year's team. Having said that, this Bengals team is much worse than last year's team, so this likely isn't the week the Steelers run into too much trouble.
The Bengals are starting 5th round rookie Jalen Rivers at RG, I'm sure he'll do fine against Cam Heyward. Also 2nd year RT (and looking like a bust) Amarius Mims likely sees the majority of TJ Watt. If the Bengals can somehow hold up there (maybe lots of max protect, 3-4 man routes) I do think Joe Flacco can pick apart this secondary given these WRs.
Big boon for the Steelers that it sounds like Trey Hendrickson won't be playing. He's tended to be a big problem for them in the past. The Bengals secondary has quietly been pretty solid of late, DJ Turner and Geno Stone in particular have been playing really well, so I think this isn't the week I'd be thinking Rodgers as a possible Josh Allen fill-in or QB streamer. I think this is a very run heavy game for the Steelers against the Bengals 27th ranked run defense. I think this is a week to get Jaylen Warren in your lineups if you can. The Bengals also struggle against RBs in the pass game, so hopefully Warren gets featured more than Gainwell there this week.
Steelers cover, and the under.
To be fair, I don't think any QB would look very good in Cleveland right now. Browns have both the worst pass blocking OT play, and worst WR room on the NFL. I think Flacco is still a decent QB. Like a C- caliber guy.How bad are things when you make a trade IN-Division for a 40 year old QB that didn't look all that good in Cleveland?
How much longer does Zac Taylor keep his job?
Yep. I think the bigger mismanagement is the fact they went that far thinking Browning is the back up and when it's time for him to be the backup they decide he isn't the backup. Any path that leads your franchise to acquire a 40 year old QB to carry the team at this stage is the season is just downright unforgivable. key words. add on the road and it's a coin flip at best. I think Bengals follow the GIants from last week with another (relatively mild) upsetThe Steelers sure didn’t look like they for real coming out of the gate but the team looks like it might be starting to jell.

careful with Philly....a fraud team isn't competitive at KC, at TB, AND against the LAR, let alone win all 3. W-L records can indeed be misleading, but in this case the point differential might be too. I'm not sure we know what either team (Eagles and Steelers) really are at this relatively early point in the season but we do know Philly has played one of the tougher schedules in the NFL to start the yearI think the Steelers are a fraudulent 4-1. For Pittsburgh, WR Calvin Austin III, G Andrus Peat, DL Logan Lee, and DE DeMarvin Leal were deemed inactive, while the Bengals’ inactives for the contest were CB Cam Taylor-Britt, C Matt Lee, WR Jermaine Burton, TE Tanner Hudson, DE Trey Hendrickson, DT McKinnley Jackson, DT Jordan Jefferson, DT Howard Cross III, and DE Shemar Stewart.Inactives announced yet?
Right. If I'm not mistaken the first head to head matchup between these two was in 2009?Joe Flacco playing against Aaron Rodgers is pretty awesome, ngl.
Seeing how both these guy are like a decade younger then me I don't appreciate your tone here. Ha hathe ben gay bowl
I'm starting him with Allen on bye. I really wanted to play Dart but I can't take that gamble with him going up against Denver. I just don't want my QB spot to tank my team this week and I think Rodgers has safer floor.Worth gambling on Rodgers this week?
I could swear over the years he used to pad his stats in prime time blowout wins over the likes of the Bears. Up by three scores, and throwing for a TD on the 1 yard line type crap.
On the moneywhat a gorgeous pass by Rodgers on that 3rd down.
