***TNF on Prime Video - Bucs at Bills*** (-9.5/43.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

With Purdy out… I’m forced to start Baker tonight in SuperFlex.

So I’m hopeful for fireworks.

But fear the obvious dud.

It’s not ideal, but I guess I have something to cheer for tonight.
Mac Jones just ripped The Bills D.
Fear The Baker🎂
Nearly 24 points on a 14 point projection. That’ll do Baker.

I can only imagine how I’d feel if Godwin caught that Hail Mary.

So... we know Buffalo is good, but man they sure seem closer to mediocre at times. Giants should have beat them and TB had no business being in the game, They literally gave the Bucs that last TD with how many boneheaded penalties? Yikes...

Bills are 1 of the 10 best teams in the NFL, and when they are on, as good as anyone, but they do have a tendency to let lesser teams linger about. They need to go for the dagger a but more often. Ravens are the same way in my opinion.

After getting a 24-10 lead to open the 2nd half, they had 4 straight punts. I thought they would blow the game open. The TB defense is above average, and the play-calling and/or Allen became more conservative. TB got 3 lucky bounces to make it a game - the INT, the Evans catch, and the 2-point conversion. They are still the favorites in my book to win the AFC east.

Agree. Miami will make the playoffs, but they just lack something right now. Maybe when they are at full strength they will come together, but right now, they are just a 1 win in the playoffs and out type team. Buffalo turns the ball over too much, that kills you in the POs. KC looks to be on schedule to make it back to the big game again. Yawn.

The Bills are not elite. It is going to be Chiefs Bengals in the AFC championship again.

, I am totally fine with saying the Bills aren’t elite for a lot of reasons. But then throwing the Bengals in like they’re a shoe in with how they look this year? Come on….
If there's any team in the NFL I'm confident in saying they'll turn it around, it's the Bengals. Much of their slow start can be pinned on Burrow's early season health status, just as it was in 2022, and 2021 (both years they reached the AFC Championship, one the Super Bowl). Burrow's play has been putrid, but the Bengals are still .500, only a game back in the loss column compared to the Ravens.

FWIW, the Bengals started 2022 at 0-2 and 4-4 before really heating up, finishing the season 12-4 and losing in the AFC Championship to the eventual SB Champion Chiefs 20-23. In 2021 they started 5-4 before finishing 10-7 and going all the way to the Super Bowl where they were beaten by the Rams 20-23. 2021 Burrow was rehabbing from a torn ACL. Interestingly, 2023 was more similar to 2022 in that Burrow had something happen in camp that prevented him from being up to speed when the season started. ACL 2021, appendix 2022, calf 2023.

My guess is the bye week did a lot of good here and the Bengals start looking a lot more like what we saw late 2022 than we've seen early 2023.

I wouldn't dismiss Miami. Getting Jalen Ramsey back this week, De'Von Achane soon after, and Terron Armstead too. Dolphins have been doing what they are doing despite actually having some bad injury luck.

I could just as easily see an AFC final of Miami-Baltimore as KC-Cincy.
