***TNF on Prime Video - San Francisco 2-3 at Seattle 3-2*** (+3.5, 49) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Options tonight

QB: Brock Purdy and Geno Smith, some of you might have both of them
Both defenses are middle of the road when it comes to giving up FF to opposing QBs, I don't expect either to have amazing nights this evening
But Vegas is calling for 7 TDs, that would make one guess at least one of them is likely to put up 2-3 TDs this evening, Division rivalry for 1st place

Smith 7th overall and Purdy checks in 14th, one would think Smith is the play if you are going to start either one of them.
Purdy is steady and once every few games makes a Top 5-10 appearance

RB: Mason fumbled last week, keep an eye on him. Kenny Walker III has been great coming off an early season injury

WR: Metcalf is a must start but what about Jaxon Smith ? He has 19 targets in 2 weeks, what are the chances Seattle isn't throwing the football tonight?
Jauan Jennings ironically is 13th overall at WR and yet you likely will not start him tonight. Aiyuk 8/147 last week, is he back to form?
CB Riq Woolen is OUT in Seattle secondary, Deebo Samuel is a tough start but you have to think he will be more involved tonight and more like what we saw Weeks 1 and 2, yes/no?

TE: Kittle for SF and I can't see many wanting to wheel out Noah Fant tonight

PK: Moody is OUT! Make sure you drop him and get another kicker, he has a high ankle sprain, you can pick him back up later

Def/ST: Is either of them a good start this evening?
:oldunsure:

Seahawks were trying to make people believe Weeks 1, 2 and 3 but a couple of those wins were less than impressive especially in hindsight
The Niners haven't been playing that well either after they ripped apart the Jets week 1

Feels like the Niners just haven't found their groove and have been overcoming injuries and off field things like holdouts running up to Week 1
You want to pick SF in a convincing win much like what Detroit did to Seattle but for some reason it has that feel of a 1 score football game
I think the Seahawks drop their 3rd straight game and go 3-3

SanFran 28 (no field goals)
Seattle 24

This is the 3rd year in a row that the 9ers have played a TNF game in Seattle, bringing a 2-0 record straight up and ATS.

Geno Smith is 3-7 in night games as a Seahawk-tuah and Purdy is 6-2 under the lights.

This year, Sea has hit the overs 4 times and SF 3, but SF games have only exceeded 49 twice and Sea only once (with one push)

The last two season TNF totals in this matchup have been 44 and 34.

There's been a lot of discussion about Seattle's recent collapse, but the 49ers have only beaten the Jets and Pats and have lost two division games to teams that are not projected to make the playoffs.

Moody's absence is a problem for a team that has the 2nd worst special teams DVOA (altho' Seattle is below average as well)

I'll take Seattle at +3.5 and Under a big, big 49.0.

Clearing the decks from last week, Costanza betting netted me an 0-3-1 record (two OT losses!) through the 1 pm games, so I basically threw in the towel on the rest of the games.

On the year, I'm a putrid 17-22-1, so if anyone needs their lawn mowed, I could use some extra cash.

Good luck everyone!

I think NYG laid out the game plan to beat Seattle:

Run against their bad d line - and Mason is a better RB than NYG has
attack the bad o lne - which SF can also do better

Unless Sea is getting linemen back tonight.

Unfortunately, I think SF wins

I thought The Seahawks were better than I thought they were
Until they weren't
I think the Niners have been pretty much who I thought they were given their injury situation.
Mason is a pretty good running back but San Fran misses CMC big time.
Seahawks not to intimidating at home right now.
I think The Niners are feeling a sense of urgency after last week and will bounce back in Prime Time...

The City By The Bay- 27
The Emerald City- 23

Going to be a tough and physical close divisional match. I see the Niners winning this one by 3 in the end though. Nothing would surprise me given the state of how weird the NFL and fantasy football has been this year already.

I just want to say thanks for these threads and everyone that contributes to them. I value the analysis and opinions and it helps me finalize my decisions what bets I place. I am down to 1 league and fantasy has taken a slight backseat to DK the past few years.

Anyways, I appreciate you all and I lurk this thread before each game. Keep em coming MoP!

Wish I had solid analysis to add, but I would just be regurgitating things I've read which seems useless.

This has me thinking very hard about trying a Costanza bet, but I been a roll the last 2 weeks (and probably just jinxed myself saying it out loud here).

I came to this thread thinking injuries would help it get close to 49 (so I'd buy it lower) and Seattle is embarrassed losing to the Giants at home. So buying points here, I was leaning Seattle +7 and over 40.

SF 14 Sea 27 in my humble uneducated opinion.

I'll pick the slight upset and say Seattle wins 31-24, and we start asking some real questions about SF's defense.

I think Kenneth Walker has a monster game and is featured early after last weeks 5 carry debacle. I could see 5 carries on the first drive. I also think Tyler Lockett is a sneaky good start with all the injuries around the league. Could do a lot worse as a WR3 or flex guy.

For SF. I think this was the Deebo buy low week. He's gonna be more expensive after this game. I also think Aiyuk gets his. I think Purdy is a top-10 QB this week. Might be a slower week again for Mason if he doesn't see the endzone.

The matchup to watch is Stone Forsythe (former 6th round pick) vs Nick Bosa. If anything sinks Seattle's offense it'll be that.

Thanks to the stupid hurricane, I can't watch because I have no power and cell service is spotty at best, so I'll be listening to the audio stream while I work.

If the Niners fall to 2-4 they'll be in big trouble. Need this win bad.

I’m never a fan of Thursday night games but I feel this one could be a higher scoring game. I hope at least. 4 going tonight
Walker
Metcalf
Aiyuk
J Love. IDP

Is it my imagination, or does Purdy look like he has happy feet tonight? He looks like he’s bailing from the pocket before pressure’s actually there.
A little. But he also has the uncanny knack to settle back into the pocket after looking like his going to run or exit.

Not something I see from a lot of qbs.

Yeah, he has uncommonly good pocket awareness. Which is why I was wondering what he was sensing.

He’s been playing like that all year. Recipe for a disaster imo. I could see him taking a big hit running around too much
This is the 1st 9er game I’m watching start to finish this year. It struck me from the first snap.

He’s been playing great but I’d hate to see him get hurt trying to extend the play and taking off too much
