TNF Packers vs Vikings predictions (1 Viewer)

Green Bay 32nd in the league in rushing yards given up. Averaging 175 rushing yards/game.

Minnesota 8th in the league in rushing yards produced. Averaging 134 rushing yards/game. Without Adrian Peterson for 3 of those games and obviously in a funk for two weeks after losing Peterson but now highly motivated coming off a big win where they ran for 240 yards.

Rain. Short week to prepare.

The Packers are starting Letroy Guion at DT.
Don't overthink it. Home team, Thursday night, bad weather. And Ponder starting seems like a certainty now. The Vikes just signed Chandler Harnish from the practice squad.

There is no overthinking when it comes to smash mouth football. The Vikings have it, the Packers don't.

I hope you don't have too much money in play with this expecting the Packers defense to do well.

Will you promise to come back to this thread after the game? I want to have some fun.

Rodgers and the Pack are starting to get into a groove, IMO. Obviously the Vikings defense is better than Chicago's, but on the road, short week, with the Ponderer at QB? It's a tall order. I think Vikings get smoked.

Didn't ponder have a really good connection with Jennings when he played? he will have to air it out a lot, Jennings might be a nice ppr play, no?

Nope. Ponder did not have a good connection with Jennings. That was M. Cassel when he took over. Bench Jennings if possible

Green Bay 38

Vikings 14

Big game for Rodgers. 3 passing TD's and 1 rushing TD.

I think Patterson will have a big game or at least one big play. Every week the Packers get suckered into some creative misdirection play and Patterson would seem like the logical guy to do it. Might be another 100 yard rushing game.

So damn predictable. I may have underestimated Rodgers' big game though. Already has 3 passing TD's halfway through the 2nd quarter. God these Thursday night games are abysmal. It's almost like teams feel like they have a license to quit when they get down early.

Looks like we'll see DuJuan Harris and Matt Flynn at some point in the 2nd half ... I hope they go to Jordy some more ...

Does the smash mouth football start in the second half?

This might be the worst prediction in the history of the Shark Pool.
