TO wants to catch passes from Bradford (1 Viewer)

TO wants to catch passes
That's all he should be hoping for at this point. He had a great season but the guy is going to be pretty old for a receiver next year. I'd rather have Randy Moss, who if motivated is the best in the league.

You'd rather have Moss than TO going into next year? Did you watch either of them play in 2010??!?!

Moss quit on Oakland years ago, putting up around 550 yards and 3 TDs at age 29. Remember this quote after that season ended?
"Randy Moss is a player whose skills are diminishing, and he's in denial of those eroding skills...Randy was a great receiver, but he lacked the work ethic and the desire to cultivate any skills that would compensate for what he was losing physically later in his career."- Tom Walsh
His next season, he put up nearly 1500 yards and 23 TDs.This year, Moss put up almost 400 yards and 5 TDs at age 33.He's an excellent receiver still, who, when he wants to play, can play. He still has some of the best hands of any player in the league, and when he drops one its out of laziness and not skill. If he's a featured receiver in an offense with a coach who knows how to handle him, he will produce larger numbers. I can imagine him on the Jets or Colts next season and putting up a huge year.

My apologies, I didn't realize it was 2007.

TO > Moss all day every day.

I don't care if TOs age says he is whatever it is, the guy plays like he is 27

Without reading one post in this thread......this guy says each year that he would like to catch passes from _____________ (enter any respectable qb), then throws him under the bus at the end of the season if he was lucky enough to catch passes from him. His act is old.

I'm just disappointed that chad johnson is still in the league too (for different reasons).

Randy still has the tools. Doesn't matter what year it is right now. If motivated he will produce. He underperformed in NE and didn't perform on the Vikings or Titans (outside of his one big game with the Vikings when he had just been dealt). TO is still a good receiver, but I will take Moss and his skills any day.

Each team he played on had a chance when he got there and he didn't do ****. So exactly what's going to motivate that guy next year?I'll take the guy that wants to be out there and give his best no matter what the situation is. TO would be embarrassed to perform like Moss did this year. He wouldn't let it happen on a 13-3 team or a 3-13 team.

Did he ever say he wanted to catch passes from Trent Edwards?Did he throw Carson Palmer under the bus? If he didn't, then he should have....

Where is your proof Randy has tools? He didn't show it this year. This guy has a history of mailing it in. Who's to say he won't do that again? TO plays hard every game.

Moss is better than TO, but TO plays harder and more consistent. With that being said, neither of them belong on a team that has a developing QB.

I'm not sure I could point to proof that Randy still has the tools (although I believe he does), but I can point to proof that TO's reputation for playing hard every game is in question. Randy certainly deserves the "slouch" label coined by Revis with the utter lack of effort he has been known to display at times, but I don't think one can deny that TO takes plays off when he's frustrated and insolent. I distinctly remember watching the Colts v. Bengals game this year and seeing TO jog through routes repeatedly during the game as 85 got the majority of looks and Cincinnati struggled to compete in an otherwise close game. TO hardly even made an attempt to return to the line of scrimmage for the final few plays of the game.EDIT: for grammar's sake. I was scrambling to finish posting this while the plane I was on landed.

Exactly. And, no team in its right mind would. Teams like the Bengals and Bills, sure...they have no concept of how to build a winner, so they do silly stuff like bring in guys like TO who'd rather catch 8 balls and lose than catch 2 and win.No reason for the Rams or any team with a thought of building a strong franchise to ever let him contaminate their laundry with his stench.

Randy still has some modicum of skill as evidenced by his one-handed catch against Revis and the bomb that he caught from Favre; however, he has lost some of his elite WR skills and is problem when he loses his motivation to play.

Dude couldn't get motivated to play with Tom Brady this year. He's done. No contender will want him and he will mail it in every play for a non-contender.He has no guts.

I'd bet TEN would bring him back if there were no other suitors.

You must be forgetting some of his amazing athletic catches he made this year. Remember him completely destroying Darelle Revis with a one-handed touchdown? The same Darelle who just held Reggie Wayne to 1 catch for 1 yard? He was on pace for 13 TDs when he was on the Patriots, only to leave and have his season completely go down the toilet.

The Rams would be smart to steer clear of both of these clowns. Neither Moss nor Owens would be good for an up-and-coming young QB in the long run.
