Last night my boss said he couldn't attend an event today and I should go in his place. Thanks boss, you're the ####### man. The event? Cruising around in these all day; http://i.imgur.com/3h7fLWt.jpg

Well, I didn't touch the NSX bc there was no reason for that. Got the Lamborghini up to 145 on the Palisades Parkway http://i.imgur.com/s72BiGl.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/bSG0ZmK.jpg

This electric thing is sick, you can't even tell when it's on or off http://i.imgur.com/TaXUClL.jpg

Didn't take this over 90, didn't feel comfortable enough http://i.imgur.com/aivjlvq.jpg

Had the McLaren up to about 110 in 9 seconds near Bear Mountain.

####### sick!

What kind of "event" was this?
A vendor took a few different clients to a car club, rented awesome cars, we all drove upstate, switched cars along the way, got lunch, did the same on the way back, and got dinner back in the city. It was an awesome day.

They did this as a token of appreciation for our business.

I know what you mean. yesterday, we just got a small bag of milk duds and malted milk balls as appreciation for our business.

Yet another reminder that I got into the wrong business. Years ago. :wall:

Would love to have a Cobra. Drove a couple out in Las Vegas when Shelby was HQ'd next to the speedway. Not very practical, but really cool.

The seatbelts are two gigantic straps that go over each shoulder with a huge metal lock, not the most comfortable. Also has a fire extinguisher in between the seats

both?!? Your company hiring?

If you know who this was through (ie which company provided the cars), shoot me a PM. I might take my clients on something similar. Sounds pretty badass and never thought to do this before.

Token of appreciation="we are ripping your company off. In order to continue doing so we bribe your bosses"

I'm guessing you think the Kardashians are pretty awesome as well.

How does driving $300k vehicles at high speeds correlate with liking the Kardashians? Gotta be honest, don't see the connection.
From what I can gather from your posts, both you and they seem to get psyched for superficial things. Plus driving around at stupid speeds on public roads seems like something a Kardashian would post somewhere.

where did you eat

signed Rockland/Orange county resident
Place called Cold Spring Depot.

never heard of it
Wasn't anything fancy, just a pit stop before getting back on the road. Was actually pretty good though.

How much was your steak dinner afterwards?
Wasn't my tab

Didn't know people who liked nice things equals liking the Kardashians... Fairly certain most people wouldn't pass on driving around in super exotic cars. The sample size I had was about 10 people yesterday, all of whom had a blast... If I was to venture and guess, none of which are prob Kardashian fans, so there is that.

Great idea for a shindig. Glad you had a great time. I can't believe people are negative about driving awesome cars for free.

Wow that would be pretty sweet. I've done a few laps at a local in race club in turbo, gtr and r8. It was like $100 for each car for about 7 mins of actual drive time... can't imagine what it costs to do something like this.

In related news I just booked an outing at this place for my team: http://www.k1speed.com/corp-events.html-- nothing like cruising around in supercars but these new cart tracks are a blast.

You are so evolved, can you teach us how to be more like you?

I saw some doosh wearing a baseball cap driving a car like that today.
Last week I got the tires changed on my minivan and there is this dorky guy with a Ferrari polo shirt and Ferrari baseball cap on. Sure enough the nerd was also driving one.
