What kind of "event" was this?
A vendor took a few different clients to a car club, rented awesome cars, we all drove upstate, switched cars along the way, got lunch, did the

same on the way back, and got dinner back in the city. It was an awesome day.

They did this as a token of appreciation for our

business.
Vendor must have been pumped your boss bailed and stuck you in his place
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Technically my boss was a fill-in for the lead on another team who couldn't make it already, so this invite was 2x removed. In my defense, the rep for the vendor who originally sold our company was a friend from a previous job, so I did provide some positive feedback on him internally and help with introductions. That guy doesn't even work there anymore and it was his boss who was the host. I made him aware that I did help facilitate some of the meetings, I really didn't have to do this anyways, but I'm the vendor the majority of the time, so your response is pretty spot on.

With that being said, maybe 10-20% of what I do intertwine with how this company works with my company, I'm pretty useless for them. I put the good word in today and now I move on.

The vendor took it in stride (I mean honestly, as someone who has been in the same situation many times, what else is he supposed to do?) and was a good dude. If I can do anything to help him out, I certainly will.

Wow that would be pretty sweet. I've done a few laps at a local in race club in turbo, gtr and r8. It was like $100 for each car for about 7 mins of actual drive time... can't imagine what it costs to do something like this.

In related news I just booked an outing at this place for my team: http://www.k1speed.com/corp-events.html-- nothing like cruising around in supercars but these new cart tracks are a blast.
Interestingly enough, during his safety speech before we took off, he mentioned someone not being able to control the GTR and having an accident.

I love the R8, would love to drive it! Such an awesome car.

Going into he day I was most excited to drive the GTR but it ended up being my least favorite. It may be the quickest around a track but it's just not as fun to drive as the others. The turbo was awesome on the track but If offered a pick of the three I would take the R8... I just think it would be the best around town and when you felt that need.

I would kill Fennis to drive a Cobra for a block or two. or just to look at one.

out of curiousity- were you in 1st gear the whole time getting out of the city until you got on the pal parkway?

I drove the i8 out of the city, I stayed in full electric mode the whole time.. Smart move, none of those other cars are fun in the city. I drove the Lambo back in, everyone just taking pictures and stuff, but the actual driving itself in NYC was not that great.

I mean, going from a car of the future (i8), to a McLaren, then a Lamborghini - It felt rough. Steering wheel was a little tough, the clutch was a little hard, and it was more about the experience IMO. It was a great day outside, top was down, and we were cruising through the country so the Shelby was really enjoyable, but I didn't find the ride to be anything to write home about.

I'm guessing you think the Kardashians are pretty awesome as well.

How does driving $300k vehicles at high speeds correlate with liking the Kardashians? Gotta be honest, don't see the connection.
From what I can gather from your posts, both you and they seem to get psyched for superficial things. Plus driving around at stupid speeds on public roads seems like something a Kardashian would post somewhere.
Oh come on, who wouldn't want to go drive these supercars? Go troll somewhere else.

i have ridden in all of those plus the corvette, and cobra (factory five replica with 650 hp). I think the r8's brakes are scary good, the gtr makes the track seem easy the corvette is stupid fast but the cobra is the most fun. For driving on the street i would also take the audi.

I honestly don't give two ####s if I ever drive one of these or not. Would it it be cool if it feel into my lap and I got to do it, sure.
