In the past that top 250 has been critical in helping many to confirm trade value during the season. It has been very good, Mr Dodd is very good, but somthing seems off this year. Maybe its the new look, I dont know all the happy yellows gone with the little faces.

I have consistently gone elsewhere for rankings if I needed to evaluate a trade. Totally agree that it is one mans opinion and he has his right to publish it, especially with this site being his baby. But when I saw how far Kevin Curtis moved up last week...I threw the top250 out the window from here on out. I would think most people who subscribe have the knowledge to take those rankings with a grain of salt....as for the new subscribers...now you know.

If the 250 is in the Free Content, then yeah ok an opinion - Subscriber content you expect that if your a little busy and you mosey on over to your paid sites to help ya, which is usually why you pay for them in the first place then you expect ..... well enough. While I agree with everyone else about chilling, and claim to have inside info from Dodds, here's a possible response to your complaints:QB--While all 4 are obviously quality, No. 1 & No. 2 both have their #1 RB injured and are forced to pass more as a result. No. 3 is relying more and more on his std RB and is likely to pass less. It's qustionable whether No. 4 can keep up his current pace, and also has strong RB play to suck away points.RB--The guy dropping from No. 8 is not only injured, but also has significant competition for his carries coming back after his bye week. Less carries=less production. No. 21 will (from all reports) be back from his injury and was the consensus #2 player in the entire league in the preseason. He got there for a reason, remember? His offense will also improve about the time he gets back because his QB will also (presumably) be recovered from his injury. Remember, these are not rankings for this week; they areranking for the entire rest o fthe season. No. 4's offense is not playing well, but it wasn't spectacular last year either and he did all right. He is also opitons 1, 2 & 3 in the offense, so he should get lots of opportunities. As for Bush--in case you didn't notice, he just lost his RBBC teammate. More carries=more production, and at his current ranking, he's still significantly lower than most preseason rankings had him. Do I agree with all his rankings? No. Are they outrageously bad? No.

You know Mr. Dodds though David and probably converse with him from time to time via some type of medium. The average poster probably doesn't feel that way thinks that posting something on the boards like this may get his attention.I don't agree with how it's done. just posted this same complaint in another forum. it is absurd to even have the list posted. anyone look at the defenses? baltimore and chicago in top 5? dallas outside top 10? obviously that hasn't been adjusted since preseason. sorry, but you want money for something at least make it look like an effort has been made. this list clearly is just something else to put out there. i usually don't look at these list "in season" but with all the injuries and the defenses playing opposite of initial rankings i thought it might help me make a few decisions. forget that. i might as well use that numb nut "talented mr roto" for rankings if i'm gonna look at useless stuff. spend less time on random shots and spend more time on useful stuff. just unacceptable even if "preliminary". i gotta make decisions on these guys by midnight tuesday, i can't wait for the final stuff on thursday, that doesn't do me any good, the waiver wire has been picked over.

Personally, I did not subscribe for the first time this year -- didn't like the high price of not getting in on "early bird" -- and it definitely helps you put things in perspective. Not having the Top 250 has forced me to do some actual thinking, rather than complaining. It's not a bad place to be.

I meant to point this out earlier. The top 250 used to come out later (at the time that the updated one does). A lot of people, me included, have to make waiver requests before the old one was coming out. I appreciate getting the early top 250 and rankings when we do, even if they are a little rough around the edges.
