Tonight I got some insulting (as you know nothng about fantasy football) comments in a trade offer. The offer itself was blah, but I could at least see the guy's angle for a portion of it without his attempting to direct me. BTW, this is a dog redraft league that I some how let myself get involved in.

The Trade:

He gives

Torain

Javon Walker

Rackers

I give

Ricky Williams

Suisham

Here was what he wrote.

this would be a huge kicker upgrade plus a young talented running back under the mike shannahan offense plus javon walker who has the potential to do good with new quarterback

But thats not an insult. They tell you what they are thinking. They arent forcing you to agree with them.

But thats not an insult. They tell you what they are thinking. They arent forcing you to agree with them.

Oh, it doesn't insult me. I don't know why I even used the quote function to be honest. It just aggrivates me when someone says Shaun McDonald is going to do even better this year because Martz is gone and they won't turn it over as much.

I think it is just a waste of time. Guys like that aren't even worth responding to. As if he actually think you would go,"Wow, he is right. I have been up nights worrying about my kicker. And I haven't seen a single new item about the season, so I don't know that Torain is out for 8 to 10 weeks, and Walker talked about retiring two weeks ago. Maybe next I could go get that Jerry Porter and Bobby Engram too."I love it when guys try to trade you the player who just went down for the season. Nothing sleazy about that.

The "huge kicker upgrade" is a bit much but true in a sense. He's offering some damaged goods, but Williams isn't much himself.

The comments are pretty bad, but it looks like he's offering a bag of nothing for a satchel of crapola. I'm not sure the trade is all that bad.

I agree that it's not insulting, but I do wonder about these comments sometimes. If you're getting all this awesome potential...why doesn't he hang on to these guys?

The "huge kicker upgrade" is a bit much but true in a sense. He's offering some damaged goods, but Williams isn't much himself.

Essentially the trade was you want to take a flyer on Walker or Williams and I am cool with that, just stay away from the other BS. FWIW, Suisham outscored Rackers by a handful of points under most systems in 2007.
