Trading draft picks question (1 Viewer)

birds of prey

Footballguy
We are trying to add the ability to trade draft posotions during the offseason to our league.

I was wondering what is the best software or, even better, what website to use for trading draft picks?

Do you use the draft dominater to organize and keep track? Do it manually? Is there a web site that can keep track of draft poisition trades during the offseason?

Thanks!!

I checked out MFL, but is there any app or site that can be used to just trade draft picks. I ask this because we are on CBS Sportsline and would love to keep our league there for tthe actual draft and season. MFL would mean starting over. We've been at CBS for 4 or 5 years and like that we can look back at previous seasons, don't need start over, etc. I guess the demand for something like this isn't high enough to make a website devoted it to it, but it would be convenient... for us anyway.

I thought that CBS had incorporated that into their Trade drop down.. when the permissions are set as such in the League Setup there..

You can just setup a leauge on MFL and put in all the team names and email addresses. You can then use their site to make trades etc. You dont actually have to pay for the site until the end of august so you could do your trades all there.

But if i were you I would definately look at moving over to MFL. They keep history for your league as well. Im not sure if there is a way to import old history but that might be something that they would consider as a feature request in order to pull business in.

I used to use CBS as well and for half the price MFL blows it out of the water, no contest.

Good luck.

Just add your picks as Unlisted Players to team rosters. We've been doing it that way on CBS for 8 years. I dont know why they dont make it a little easier, but we arent moving so we make do. Its not too bad.

Remember to include the original pick owner and any other info you want in the name.

For example my team name is Fargin Iceholes. My draft picks during season look like this:

R1, FI 2008

R2, FI 2008

R3, FI 2008, etc

After the season is over and actual draft position is known, then you can name them more specific if you want, without the team name, something like this:

1.12 2008

2.12 2008

3.12 2008

etc.

After initially adding them to team rosters you'll want to delete all the transaction records associated with that process. Its not perfect but only takes about 30 minutes or so per year to manage and works like a charm for trading.

After the draft, just drop them from the rosters and start over.

it does:
Can I enter my league information from a prior season that I ran on another league management site into MyFantasyLeague.com?

Yes, definitely. To do this, start by setting up a league as you normally would. To set up league corresponding to one of the following seasons, click on a link below:

- http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2006/league_setup1 2006 Season Setup

- http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2004/league_setup1 2004 Season Setup

- http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2003/league_setup1 2003 Season Setup

- http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2002/league_setup1 2002 Season Setup

- http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2001/league_setup1 2001 Season Setup

- http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2000/league_setup1 2000 Season Setup

- http://football.myfantasyleague.com/1999/league_setup1 1999 Season Setup

Once you've completed the basic league setup, you'll need to use the For Commissioners - Setup - Adjust Scores and Standings - Franchise Score Adjuster option to manually assign the correct scores for to the correct franchises for each week of the season.

We trade draft picks in my leagues and RTSports allows the trades and keeps track of them so when the draft comes up everyone is slotted correctly. They really do a nice job!
