Travis Henry. Marijuana. Suspension? (1 Viewer)

BTW, I've got the same question as someone earlier had -- how can the NFL be proceeding with the suspension when their grounds for issuing said suspension is still being decided by the courts? How can the NFL suspend Henry when there's the chance that the courts could rule against them and toss out the sample/test?Seems to me the whole point of a court injunction is to prevent this.An injunction has been issued until the appeal is resolved, hasn't it?
As already stated, the NFL can suspend Henry without the "B" sample.
So what then exactly has held up the suspension? If I recall correctly, and it's been a long time, he tested positive according to the "A" sample back in September. I know he filed an appeal with the NFL, but I thought if the NFL was free to do what they wanted, the process would of been completed by now.

the thing holding up the suspension is the appeal, all suspensions can be appealed and those generally take time.

Has it also already been stated what the point of testing a "B" sample is, if those results are unnecessary to the suspension process? Is it strictly for the player's use in disputing the results from the "A" sample?Makes me wonder what Henry and the NFL are fighting over in the courts.

Dude is injured, he should just swallow the pill,

and start his suspension immediately.

It's a foregone conclusion that he will be gone.

The only thing i can think of is henry and his lawyers (and the team)know something WE don`t . :lmao:
Of course he might be trying to collect game checks while he can. Also if the Broncos decide to waive him he might be worried that they will try to go after bonus money so he wants as many games under his belt before that happens.

The more games he plays before the suspension kicks in, the more of his signing bonus he gets to keep. If he's working under the assumption the Broncos will cut him as soon as he comes back and he may have difficulty finding a new team, the additional paychecks and a few more weeks worth of earned signing bonus become substantial to him and his families."Hello, Argonauts?"Dammit Tyrion.

Honestly, I have thought about this for a while, and this is what I have come up, feel free to agree or hopefully disagree, because this is why I come on here. I think that I would like Henry to play this week. I think Detroits defense suffers more from a straight ahead running game, a la Henry. He could really benefit from this and gain 100 plus a TD this week. Against the staunch defense of the Titans, however, I feel that I would want Selvin in there. He was able -- like I mentioned previously in other threads or sites -- to open up the playbook for the Broncos with his receiving skills (something that PPR league owners love). So for this week, Henry is a very strong play if healthy; against the defense of the Titans I like Selvin. Also, if you look at the remaining schedule -- Selvin could be a top 10 back IF Henry was suspended. Do I think that SY is a better RB? No. Do I think he may be more valuable in my PPR league? Yes, for the aforementioned reasons. Please, feel free to kill me analysis :lmao:

Henry`s a better pure rb but selvin is a better athlete...and yes i want to get as much out of henry as i can , the longer this drags out the better for henry owners who dont have selvin...i think if travis plays he lights up detroit.

 young owner not henry owner
Travis Henry-RB- Broncos Nov. 1 - 1:07 pm et Travis Henry (ribs), who returned to a complete practice Wednesday, reportedly "looked good running with the first unit" and will start Sunday at Detroit barring a setback.Henry's one-year suspension situation is expected to be settled between the Broncos' Week 10 and 11 games, so he should be quite motivated to perform well and go out on a high note. He should work fully again Thursday.Source: Denver Post :D henry owner

That's been his problem all along...
