The last game Darren Howard started in front of Trent Cole. I know they will share some time but is Cole's numbers in trouble? He did have 1.5 sacks so it could be a good thing. Any Philli homers out there?

I had noticed that also.
Thinking that Cole is looked at as a pass rusher and they want to keep him fresh.
Starting and playing all the downs (including run downs) may have some consequences the Eagles dont want to encounter.
He is good enough, however, to force more time and overcome the issue eventually.

As I recall from last year, Cole put up better numbers when he was rotating with Howard and not starting.

Yes, Cole will rotate with Howard, Kearse, & Juqua Thomas. Cole is much better when not tasked with playing the run full time. He's only about 260 (Kearse is the same, if not leaner). Cole isn't a classic pass rush specialist that gets no other tackles. Cole still gets a lot of tackles by running plays down from the back side (especially last year when their run defense was horrible). If the team's ability to stop the run at the line of scrimmage improves (it has to!) then Cole's numbers could decrease ever so slightly. I would expect Cole to be just slightly under what he produced last year (43 solos). Maybe 35 solos and 8-10 sacks.

Cole is a classic "sell-high" guy. We had a guy in our league actually trade both P-Willis and a 2nd-round rookie pick for Coles.

As for Cole, it looks like it is going to be a circus if you own any Philly DL. You definitely have to downgrade Cole's value at this time.RAPTURE
