Just might have to take a shot with Scott this weekend...Thanks ChokeOn the all important Thursday practice...
Quentin Groves was limited (and was said to be "very limited") in practice.
And the other option Thomas Howard did not practice.
That would leave me to believe that Scott will play Sunday at WLB.
Of note* The team really liked what it was getting out of the line and front 7 (vs the Chargers) with the changes. But that was assumed to be more about the front line then Scott. i.e. Shaugnessy.
A good defensive performance by the Raiders and Scott... coupled with a win against the 49ers would likely help his odds at sticking in the line up.
Excellent news, Choke. Thanks for the update.Oct. 15, 2010 2:37 p.m. - Trevor Scott will start again at weak-side linebacker in place of Quentin Groves (hamstring), and Matt Shaughnessy will get his second-straight start at Scott’s spot at right defensive end. Groves is practicing but is not 100 percent, coach Tom Cable said.
Im trying to find a way to get him into my line up. But I cant just yet.Its only his 3rd season. Last year in his second season...Thoughts on Scott this week if he's listed as a DE in your league? Must start in DE required leagues?
he had that before the half was out, so maybe he was got dinged and missed the 2nd half.....was also disappointed after his hot start in the game.Jayrod said:His 2-2 stat line was less than impressive for a LB. Now a DE that's an average game, so I'm not complaining, but what's the story on this guy moving forward? Was he at LB all game and does he stick there for the foreseeable future? I didn't get a chance to watch any of this game.
Looks like he is NOT sticking at WLB as the starter. He will get some snaps at WLB (possibly) and return to DE primarily. Rotational status all the way around.![]()
No Groves on the injury report at all, so I guess its the end of the line for Scott?Oakland Raiders LB Quentin Groves (hamstring) will return to the starting lineup at weakside linebacker when he is completely recovered from his hamstring injury, reports Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers. When he comes back, DL Trevor Scott will return to a three-man rotation with DL Matt Shaughnessy and DL Lamarr Houston at defensive end.

Not sure if Groves is 100% healthy yet. Though it was reported he did get some snaps last week vs the 49ers.
Not sure if the report is 100% accurate, because I would rather rely on the actual practice reports. But I have no reason to doubt McDonald.
