Trivia: Which team ran for the most yards in a season?

Discussion: will this be broken any time soon?

Hint: 500 more yards than the most last year and the Giants would have to rush for over 300 yards per game for the next 3 to come close.

Falcons? With Vick, Dunn and TJ?

This is a very tough trivia question; I'd hard to imagine many know it off the top of their head and if they have to look it up one by one, it should take awhile.

No, I doubt it will be even touched very soon.

In 2006 right? I'll 2nd that nomination. Will it be broken? I don't think it can without a scrambling QB like Vick. Unless you can find a team with TWO 1500 yd rushers! That would be even more rare.Maybe if Tebow can do in the NFL what he's done in college... not likely.Think about it... the team has to AVERAGE over 180 yds/game !!

New England, 3,165 yards, 1978

Doubt it will be broken any time soon. the Giants only have a little over 2,000 yards 14 weeks through the season and they are a running machine in terms of rushing stats per game. A team would have to average 200 yards per game to break the current record. that would be tough to do.

You are implying it is not the 2006 Falcons. We need another hint.Nevermind.

Give us a breakdown of the players involved. A game-by-game summary would be even greater.

 DBomb

FWIW, their top rusher 768 yards :lmao:

671 rushes - 42 rushes per game; which isn't all that much more than Baltimore this year, but with a lot more success.
