Dude's great on both sides of the ball. He's always stepped up whenever asked and accepted any role handed to him--even if it's a reduction in his time on offense to help the team on D. Stand up guy all around.
The 2001 AFC Championship game. First he returns a punt for a TD then he laterals a blocked FG to (who?) for a TD.
But more important than those big plays, he made a career out of making all the little plays. He has been the best example of what Patriot football is all about.
The strip he made this weekend to ensure victory for the Pats, really left me stunned. He stepped up when the season was on the line, gotta respect and admire that.
One of the best "team players" in the history of the game.
College coaches + HS coaches should be paying him lecture fees. We need more of his type and less TO+Moss wannabes.
I think the Pats were fortunate to have he and Curtis Martin at one time and the great team attitude they have now is at least part of a byproduct of those two.
When you knew he would be cut after 05' only to have the Patriots re-sign him without the big bonus, but guarantee him a contract filled with endorsement deals with TD Banknorth (Kraft's good friend is the CEO).
Other than that, pretty much everything he has done since he has been a Patriot.

Gotta admit a lot of guys just go for the tackle there. Presence of mind of the whole team to make sure he's up long enough to get a shot at the strip.
No other Patriot should ever wear #80 ever again. This guy is the consummate Patriot. He's not a Hall-of-Famer but no player has ever gotten more out of his talent than Troy Brown. If the Pats go the distance I hope he retires and goes out a winner.
I wish there was a place in the Hall of Fame for guys like T. Brown. He doesn't measure up on any of the traditional categories, but he has always, always impressed me with his headiness and willingness to do whatever for the team. Great player.

This is what immediately came to mind for me as well.Another fond memory was the 82 yard TD in overtime to beat Miami in that game that the refs blew so many calls against us, including the overtime coinflip.
Has to be AFC wildcard at Pitt in 2001 when he recovered a blocked punt and pitched it to a teammate who ran it to the house. Insane play. Or catching the bomb in OT to beat Miami. What a class act.
