At the very beginning, when Farrell is dropping off his kid, we see a group of other kids giving the son crap about his shoes. Aspen was one of those kids.

Aspen may not have actually destroyed the kid's shoes but he did "bully" him.

No I think he is on the payroll. I think the info was just to open the lines of communication. I am sure we will see what happens to the rapist and the relationship with VV and Colin develop in up coming episodes.

I think VV used the rape (maybe even orchestrated the rape?) to manipulate CF into killing this shlep in the picture who probably wasn't the rapist at all, just somebody VV wanted erased. And in doing so VV now has the goods on CF and has been able to use that to keep him in his pocket all these years. Meanwhile CF knows he's been totally pwned here and just drinks away the pain.

ETA did Vaughn take out the rapist? I feel like all he did was give CF a guy
