Truly bizarre league standings (1 Viewer)

12 teams, 4 divisions of 3 each. in my division, all 3 teams are 3-4. in another division, 2 teams are 3-4 and one is 2-5. in one division, one team is 7-0 and 2 are 3-4. in the fourth, there's a 6-1 team and 2 3-4 teams.

so to summarize:

7-0

6-1

3-4 (9)

2-5

We have the potential for a 7-way tie for 2 wild card spots. there are still 6 weeks left, so plenty of time to straighten things out.

just very odd.

I really have a hard time getting excited about this thread.

Seriously. Why in the hell would we care about this??!!

My 24 team league shakes down like this:

6-1 (3)

5-2 (3)

4-3 (6)

3-4 (5)

2-5 (5)

1-6 (2)

Aren't you amazed??

Seriously, what a stupid post!

This is a FF site, correct? If you don't like the thread then GTFO & don't read/post. Tool. My league has odd standings this year as well. It's making things very interesting though.

Wow.Interesting.. We've got something similar with standings looking like this..6-16-16-16-14-34-33-43-42-52-52-52-52-51-6Coincidence?

I bet you are one of the 3-4 teams and you are using this thread to set up a whining one, complaining about your league's tie breaker rules when you have a good enough record for a wildcard spot, but are not given one because the tie breaker rules are against you.

Attention: CletiusMaximus, shredhead, poopdawg, IGKYA!!! and teamroc.

You do understand that you aren't required to read every thread that is started on here (or anywhere, for that matter), don't you?

Ignore the haters. I'm excited about the possibilities for this thread.

That's "truly bizarre?"

If maybe the highest scoring team were in last place, second highest in second to last... all the way up to the lowest scoring team in first place... THAT might be bizarre.

this? Its week 7.

My league has a guy in first, and one in last. Now here's the weird part. There's a bunch of guys in the middle.

Strange

I'm first in my division but would be last in any of the other divisions. Luck of the divisional draw.

We had the same thing happen a few seasons back. Absolute mind blower.

Great Thread.

In the future, an effective way to avoid such a potential records/standings/playoffs mess is to use the 6 division format, with 2 teams in each division. End the season in week 2 and enjoy 12 weeks of playoffs. The beauty of this format is it's simplicity.

now imagine everyone created a thread like this for each league :goodposting:
Realistically that would never happen, but if 10 people did post that something unusual happened (and 75% of the teams having the exact same record 7 weeks in qualifies as unusual in my book) then there would be 10 threads out of about a 100 each week. Doesn't spending 1.5 seconds reading the thread title before moving on to something that piqued your interest make more sense than posting over and over and over and over that the thread didn't interest you? Not to mention prolonging the time that the unwanted thread stays on the first page of the board. People act like FBG is charging them every time they open a thread. :lmao:

Perhaps my first post was a bit harsh, but this thread serves no purpose. The only reason I came in here was to let people know how useless these threads are and 99% of the people in this thread agree with me. The SP is for meaningful discussion and its frustrating when you see these threads started. No one cares about other people's leaguesNo one cares about other people's scoring rulesNo one cares about other people's teamsetc......If I posted how my team did this week, would you really care? I am 1-6 in my league and have the highest points. Thats bizarre but do you really care? I know when to just leave this kind of stuff out of the SP.

Truly bizarre divisional set up.Only 3 teams per division ?

It would probably be better if we all just ignored these kinds of posts. But ridiculing a silly thread is a seriously underrated past-time.

Could not agree more. This is far more interesting and entertaining than The Chris Johnson Hype Machine thread, or any threads discussing bye-week Kicker strategies.

6 teams making the playoffs?

Why even play the regular season?

What is this, Hockey?

Despite what everyone seems to think, having nine teams sitting with the same record after seven weeks in a 12-team league is quite rare. I'm not going to get out the multinomial distribution to figure out EXACTLY how rare, but I found it interesting. I doubt any of those who have posted sarcastic responses in this thread have had something as rare occur in their league this year. And I doubt they would realize it if it did.

But I'm positive I wouldn't care about the statistical anomaly. I mean, I'm not the forum police, but come on.In either case, I liked my sarcastic response.
