Thanks for the great podcast! It helps makes my commute bearable! And thank you Bloom for responding to my email and Twitter questions!

How do you think the WR group in Indy will shake out? As and avid Colts fan I want to get an objective opinion to make sure I'm not letting any bias affect how I view these players for fantasy purposes. Reggie Wayne was quiet somewhat at the end of the fantasy season and definately in the NFL playoffs. Do you believe he can continue to post elite stats with so many good pass catchers in Indy? What do you expect out of Garcon, Collie, and Gonzalez? And is Blair White worth rostering in a Dynasty League with 25-man rosters?

Also, what kind of split do you expect out of Addai/Brown this season if Brown is healthy?

What's your take on Phillip Rivers? It seems Norv Turner is comfortable running the ball with a slight lead. Will this trend continue? Is there a chance he give you the value that his ADP will require?

If the passing game improves in Carolina, will there be enough rushes for JStew and DWill? If not, who would get more work?

Love the show!

First off, your show is amazing and your fantasy football expertise is invaluable. I'm in a 14 team dynasty-auction league ($500 salary cap) and want your opinion on my QB situation. I will be signing Kolb and Stafford at dirt cheap prices and have McNabb under contract for one more year. Am I crazy to unload McNabb in a deal and roll the dice with Kolb and Stafford? I'm not sold on McNabb in Washington and don't see him as much of an upgrade over Kolb and Stafford. Thanks for helping a brother out!

Hey Guys,

I was going back over the draft and came away very impressed by what the Bucs did... McCoy and Price and then Myron Lewis in the third seems like quite a defensive bounty for Tampa (all needs for them). How good can this defense be in 2010?

Also, staying with the Bucs, assuming Benn and Caddy are both healthy for 16 games, what sort of numbers would you expect from them?

Thanks

If Westbrook signs with the Redskins and stays healthy what kind of numbers do you see him producing this year? Does this situation become less of a three way RBBC as the Shanahans become more comfortable with Westbrook's health?

Devin Hester has been a work in progress the last couple of years; how much has he improved as a WR? Please compare his current skills and what you see him possibly becoming to current established WR's in the NFL.

Thanks to you guys and to all the poster's whose solid questions make this Podcast an essential part of our listening week.

With Lendale White unceremoniously released in Seattle, is it now Justin Forsett's show? Thoughts on where to target him in a draft and what kind of numbers he'll put up this year. Thanks!

James

Gentlemen!

Let's talk targets.

Lots of excitement about Crabtree and Nicks possibly emerging this year. But they're going to have to get more looks than their respective 86 and 74 targets in 2009. Do either of them get into that magic 120-targets range where good things seem to happen to talented receivers?

On the flip side, how do Vernon Davis and the Otha Steve Smith fare? Both were target monsters last year with 129 and 157(!) respectively but they're going to have to regress a little in order to make room for the new guys. How much do they suffer?

Finally, are there any other WR/TE situations we need to revisit in terms of who is going to see a meaningful increase or decrease in targets?

Thanks as always for all you do.

I have my rookie draft on Monday. I own the 1.02. I'd love your insight on my thoughts about who to pick and whether to trade down.

First some useful background:

1. Non-PPR

2. 3-season contracts for rookies.

3. Start 1 RB and 1 RB/WR. My only RB is ADP, who I have for one more year. So I have an immediate need for a RB and the free agent pool is thin (likely free agents I can afford are Maroney, Harrison, Ricky, Bradshaw, and the like).

4. Rookie RBs come with cheap contracts relative to free agent RBs. WRs are not as cheap.

In short, think RBs are more valuable. So my pre-draft list is:

1. Matthews

2. Best

3. Spiller

4. Bryant

5. Tate/Hardesty

I think Matthews is a lock to go first. I think I'll be offered 1.03 and Cooley (2 seasons) for 1.02. As I think about it,

I don't like the trade unless I know for certain that Best will be available at 1.03 (then it's a no brainer). I think that Spiller will produce much less this year and next as compared to Best. And I think with Fred Davis around, Cooley is not much of a difference maker. I can find a better TE on the free agent market. Do you agree with this analysis?

Also, assume that I can't know for certain if Best will be available at 1.03. How much should I get in return to gamble that Best will be there for me? For example, would you trade 1.02 for 1.03 and Finley (2 seasons)?

Thanks for your time, hard work, and insight.

In a league that starts 30 QBs and only 40 RBs and 60 WRs (with roto scoring), how high would you take Bradford in a rookie draft? There are no inseason pickups either, so QB depth is vital.

Hey,

Quick site question... when the heck can we expect can we expect the Mock Draft feature under MyFBG to be updated with rankings for 2010... my girl is getting pissed at all the scrap pieces of paper I'm leaving all over the house... I've tried emailing support but the new site keeps kicking back some error message

thanks again

I love my weekly Thursday fix! I also loved the 5 minute drill, any chance it returns in 2010?

PPR Dynasty- I have plenty of RB & WR depth so I'm looking to move McCoy & Smith (NYG) for a top WR. I'm thinking their value may be at their highest this offseason.

My current WR's

Roddy

Smith (CAR)

Smith (NYG)

MSW

H. Ward

Cotchery

Jacoby

McCluster

What level WR would you go after? I already swung and missed for Marshall and was thinking of Austin or Jennings but am I better off keeping McCoy and Smith hoping at least one hits it big.

For TE I have Cooley, F. Davis, Cook, Heap, and Pita. I was counting on Cooley getting the looks that O. Daniels had last year (before injury) with the new coaches but becoming concerned that Davis will keep Cooley's targets down. What is your take- go with my TE's or try and land a better TE?

Whats up guys Love the show!

In Miami who do you guys think wins the WR2 position? Camarillo, Bess, or Hartline? Is whoever wins the WR2 position worth starting in start 3 WR leagues?

thanks

16 team IDP dynasty league. PPR scoring.

I am in win now mode, and need RB help more than WR.

I pick 1.02.

If Mathews goes 1.01, can I justify passing on Bryant to take Best or is Bryant simply too talented to pass up regardless of situation?

Another way of asking this is how big is the projected production gap between each of these players over the next 3-4 years?

Desperately seeking clarity.

Hi guys, thanks for a great show. I hail all the way from Denmark, and just discovered your amazing site a couple of months ago. Man, have I been missing out! The tools, the podcasts, the articles and the community, awesome stuff all the way around. Just wanted to let you know, you are helping a Danish viking hopefully win his second championship. Now to the question:

What are your expectations for Calvin Johnson this season? The Lions offense looks alot better this season, but how much will CJ benefit? His catch percentage is one of the worst of the elite WRs, and why is that, as far as I remember he had great hands in college. Your thoughts please.

16 team Dynasty PPR - 53-man rosters. $1000 Cap.

I took Ryan Mathews 1.02 in our Rookie Draft and just received this offer:

Give up Ryan Mathews for

Dez Bryant (1.01)

+2011 3rd Rounder

+2011 5th Rounder

Should I take it? Their salaries are pretty much equal at roughly $76 each.

We will have our auction in a week and I need to make a decision soon in order to finalize my auction strategy.

Jim

What's up guys...

Redraft question...12 Team 6 points for Td's across the board. Where you guys looking to take a Qb this year? I know in years past waiting on a QB is the way to go, but I'm getting a diffrent vibe this year. Any thoughts on where to target a QB in 6 points per TD redraft leagues this year? :ptts:

Should we stick a proverbial fork in Carson Palmer? And if so, how does this trickle down to Ocho, Antonio Bryant, Gresham and others (Matt Jones anyone?)... offensively is team going to struggle except for probably Benson?

Evening Gentlemen,

2 questions :

1. From your years of fantasy experience, who has been you biggest fantasy find (a guy nobody else saw coming) and who has been your biggest fantasy busy (a guy who you thought was going to be great, but was not)?

2. In a ppr dynasty start up, how do you evaluate your players and tier them and secondly, how do you value this years draft class within a dynasty startup?

Thanks as always for the great show.

Men,

I've been looking at early ADP, Can you explain the love from the Experts on RB DeAngelo Williams, Carolina Panthers and not so much love for RB Shonn Greene, New York Jets? I assume you two fall in the former category. Me, I like both. J-Stew is solid as well, but LT is done.

Keep it up! And stay . . .frosty. :goodposting:

Quick Hits:

1. If Westbrook signs in WAS I just see no way Portis/LJ/Parker/Westbrook all stay.....who gets cut and where do they end up?

2. I got my popcorn ready :X , but where the hell am I gonna watch him play this year?

3. Is Matt Ryan really a top 10 QB this year? Please explain.

4. Will Buffalo use Shawn Nelson more this year, dude is a beast?

Thanks.

Hey Guys: I'm worried that I may be becoming my employer's Jamarcus Russell because I sometimes find myself trolling the FBG forums or staring at depth charts and staff rankings when I am stuck behind my desk. I'm sure I'm not alone here, so can you give us all some guidelines to follow that will allow us to get our FBG fix throughout the day without going overboard? I need help now before I cross the Jamarcus line!! I don't have his millions to fall back on.

I just picked up Vincent Jackson in a dynasty PPR and I'm a little concerned with his off the field DUI situation, how troubling is his off the field issues to you? Does it effect his dynasty status?

Seeing as how the Redskins have 3 running backs over or near 30, does Ryan Torain make for a dynasty stash? He is currently available in my 16 team league and I was considering rostering him given his past ties to Coach Shanahan. What are the possibilities for him this year and the future?

I'd like to hear you guys talk a little bit about Josh Freeman's floor/ceiling situation in a dynasty league and where you'd think about taking him as a backup/developmental QB in a startup.

Cecil, react to me!

I'm in a 10 team redraft league whereby the scoring is performance based so TD's don't count. I have the 9th pick this year and Steven Jackson from my roster last year. I am worried about SJax's offseason "minor" back surgery. Should I keep SJax and lose my first round pick, or should I decide not to keep SJax and use that 1st round pick on a player like Larry Fitzgerald/Medenhall/Shonn Greene?

You guys do a phenomenal job with the show. I have been a subscriber for 4 or 5 years, I am new to the forums, 2nd or 3rd year listening to the podcast.

Do you foresee any of the top rookie RB having trouble staying or getting on the field do to fumbling history and/or picking up blocking assignments?

I have Mcnabb and not much else at QB in my dynasty league. Should I pick up Bradford at 1.06 or wait for next years QB class? I guess I am looking at the second tier of RB at that spot but still some great potential there.

Thanks

How important is offensive scheme to a TE's production? I am wondering this as it relates to TE prospects that join teams with no history of using the TE as a receiver.

Cecil, Sig - first of all, great job on the show! Long time listener here. Since you guys always seem impressed at the variety of fans you draw in, just letting y'all know you have fans down here in Brazil too (Rio, in my case).

I'm in the middle of a 12-team PPR startup dynasty draft, and with my starting RBs (Chris Johnson, Ryan Mathews), WRs (Roddy White, Vincent Jackson, Dez Bryant) and QB (Jay Cutler) taken care of, it seems I'm in good shape heading into the eighth round. I'm leaning towards a backup RB, with Donald and Ronnie Brown both available, but what concerns me (like adomis above) is Vincent Jackson's off-the-field issues and possible suspension. By all accounts he's not a "bad guy", but would concerns over a suspension lead you to consider another WR instead (with Mike Wallace and Garçon available, as well as knucklehead Santonio, who wouldn't help me cover for V-Jax)?

In a more general sense, does a suspension (or possible suspension) consciously affect your dynasty drafting strategies in the sense of trying to cover for missed games? Does it vary depending on the perception of the guy's long-term risks for even more suspensions?

Thanks fellas, and keep on rockin'. As I told Sig once, drinks on me if you make it down here. :fishing:

LOVE the show guys! Look forward to listening to what you have to say.

Redraft thoughts - In years past, grabbing a TE early (rounds 3-5) was a key (imho) to out scoring my opponents because only a few put up good numbers from week to week. (Gates & Gonzo mostly)

Recently, last year in particular, I've seen an explosion of very good TE production that should continue this year. This is basically eroding the benefit of grabbing a top TE in the early rounds.

1. Do you see this as a trend for NFL teams to focus on getting more production from the TE position?

2. How many quality starting TE are there this year?

3. What is the drop off from each tier?

4. When is it too late to draft a solid starting TE and basically ignore the position/seek trade/scout the WW?

I think you might want to wait until Thursday's (June 10th) thread
