Tyler Eifert, TE (JAC) (1 Viewer)

Drafted him...and then thought...hey, he gets hurt...I'll have 2 TEs.  Henry.

week 1 was not good...week 2 isnt starting much better

Really thought this guy was a good buy-low candidate, but geez...Assuming Zealots-type rosters/scoring, what's his value in terms of draft pick(s) now? What would Eifert owners accept for him, and what are people willing to give to acquire him? Can't imagine his value getting any lower..

On top of Eifert getting injured the Cincy offense and Dalton are just too pathetic this year. Will probably drop Eifert next week for ASJ or some lottery ticket.

I underestimated just how bad Dalton could be.  He is making Green into a #3 WR, and making Eifert totally worthless.  4 targets, 3 catches and the other one was the play he caught the TD on that he stepped out of bounds first.  The game planning is atrocious.  Easy to blame Eifert, but he isn't to blame for his lack of production any more than Green is for his.  Sometimes you have to force the ball to your good players.  LaFell and Nelson out-targeted Green and Eifert.  That's just bad game planning.

I dropped Eifert for Clay before the game. Just wasn't feeling it. He almost scored a TD but now im glad I dropped him. Im in a 8 team league though so my options are better than most.

When Eifert was on the sidelines being examined by the training staff, my first thought was "The best thing he could do for my fantasy team is to go on IR so I can clear up a roster spot."

I've got Hooper and am gonna let Eifert sit this one out this week after the dud last week.
I have Hooper too and wish I would've done that. Eifert is officially on the pine for me. I'll roll with Hooper, Henry and Fleener from here on our till the red rocket gets the rocket out of his butt

I think this is part of it. It's the worst oline in the NFL. I would have to see stats about routes run to confirm it though.
Won't get any easier next week.  Mike Daniels, Nick Perry and Matthews should be able to give that oline fits.

Trying to find a clip of the red zone target. Only found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BMkZtB3wtQ
Wide open in the end zone near the sideline.  Must have been a blown coverage.  Right as the ball is being thrown, he clearly has both feet out of bounds.  As the ball comes to him, he hops both feet back in bounds.  He seemed to know exactly where to put his feet to catch the ball in bounds, so it was confusing to me why he so lazily went out of bounds.

Based on how poorly everyone was thinking the Houston match up was going to be based on their performance against TEs last season, I actually thought last night was promising.  Unless Graham lights it up this weekend, I'm moving Eifert into my starting spot.

My fears around Eifert are almost entirely driven by Dalton (rest is injury risk). I don't think Dalton can possibly continue to be this bad (two full games at home and zero TDs? Yikes!) but it does seem like this could be the "wheels come off" year.

Cook is available on my WW. Was debating whether to drop Burkhead for him; after last night's game, I immediately put in the claim. Don't really trust him, either, but I'm not sure I can sleep at night with Eifert as my only TE.

I've been trying to convince myself to pull the trigger on dropping Eifert for Clay. Eifert historically had the higher ceiling but the Bengals seem like a dumpster fire right now.

This is what bothered me immediately. His team needed that TD. His offense and offensive coordinator needed that TD. And somehow, he just found his way out of bounds on that play, unforced? That seems to never happen.

cut eifert bait this week for fleener  :shark:

Any news on the injury?  Is he gonna be ok?  I know he didn't finish the game.  Stat line wasn't great but at least he was heading in the right direction after week 1.  He had a TD but stepped out in a bone head move.

DNP today

Knee & back

I just cut him in a re-draft....not going to look back.  Too many guys out there who are producing to worry about the Cincy offense or his injuries.

Bengals fan who needed a space to pick up CJ2K in case Goodell decides to screw over Zeke owners with a late Zeke scratch.  Eifert was the guy to go.

On a real-world football note Bengals haven't been able to reach am extension agreement with him and if he leaves via FA I am thinking I'd be okay with that vs an overpay.  Just a shame.

I'm getting so close to dropping him in redraft.  Thinking of dropping him for Carkus Wheaton

picked up ben Watson.

He was dropped in my league and I quickly scooped him up and placed him in an IR spot. He's a real difference maker when healthy and the TE position is just void of these types at the moment. I understand if you don't have the bench space or an IR spot to wait him out but I'd have a very hard time just flat out dropping him for the peanuts on the WW.

I just dropped him and picked up ASJ.  McCown likes to throw to the TE and made gary barnidge a household name in 2015.  ASJ way more talented.  No real weapons outside of him on that team minus kearse.

The back injury is spoiling me with eifert and we have no ir spots.

Per RotoWorld - "The good news is he does not need surgery. The bad news is Eifert's back is acting up again after an injury cost him Weeks 16-17 last season, then he underwent surgery after the year. Tyler Kroft will take over as the Bengals' starting tight end. Eifert looks droppable in 12-team fantasy leagues."

Hmmm not dropping yet, I think I'll keep him on the bench until I hear more accurate timetable. Jack Doyle or Charles Clay are avail to me. Bengals may be rebounding and if this clears up in a week or two we have a TE1 that scores TDs.

Anyone else as hopeful as me?

Dropping him in redraft, and giving it strong consideration in dynasty as well. Just tired of the headache and am looking for someone who will produce and stay healthy.

Own him in a 16-teamer, so it doesn't make sense to drop him yet (have Watson in the meantime). But man, I hate keeping two TEs. I hope we can hear more info that can offer us clarity one way or another.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert is in LA, deciding whether to undergo a 3rd back surgery that would end his year, sources tell @FieldYates and me.

I have no idea why I decided to spend high draft capital on this guy two years ago. He's great when he plays, but he rarely plays

I just wish they would have IR'd him weeks ago so I could put him on my IR slot.  It sucks missing out on good waiver prospects because of the dead weight on my bench.

A guy puts his health on the line for our entertainment, and when he gets injured doing it, he's a turd bucket.  Classy.
Seriously?  Come on, man.  He isn't putting his health on the line to entertain any of us.  He's doing it bc he loves playing a dangerous game and he gets paid MILLIONS to do it.  Please, man.  Spare me the holier than thou bs.  I called him a turd bucket strictly for fantasy purposes which he is.  It wasn't a personal attack on tyler efiert the man.  He is probably a very nice young man.  But for fantasy pruposes he's a perrrenial turd bucket
