U11 boys soccer team outing ideas (1 Viewer)

I coach club soccer. Sometimes with all we do as parents with the money, travel whatever, the meaning of it all tends to get lost on 10 year old boys.

In order to bring these boys down to earth a little, I want to plan an outing. Maybe helping at a homeless shelter or just hanging out with menatally disabled children, i want them to know how good they actually have it. And what better what to do that than to brighten someone else's day.

Does anyone have any ideas where to start?

I've got some yard work that needs to be done.

Very good idea on your part. The family sacrifices often do get lost on kids.

I can't even get my son to cut my own grass but by God I can make kids work on their cryuff.

That's good though. Gave me an idea to help elderly with yard work.

Special Olympics soccer match
Or volunteer at any Special Olympics event. I started helping out in junior high. It's an amazing experience for any young person to see how much it means to the Olympians and their families. For many athletes its something they look forward to all year. That's a helluva life lesson at that age.
