Cerrone has been getting clocked a lot lately.
seems like he's been a different guy since he reaggravated his stomach injury - I think he should've taken a lot longer time off to recover from that.
he got arrested recently for assault too. but for me, i think he just doesn't have the fire anymore. we always seem him cliff diving or doing some crazy stuff to entertain himself. especially with this loss tonight, unless they give him some can next, or somebody who matches up horribly with Cerrone's style, my money will be against him

this fight is going to be weird to score, just like a lot of Condit's fights. he is getting taken down, but Kampman is literally doing nothing on the ground, at least he hasn't in the first round. i assume that 1st will go to Kampmann, but i don't know if either guy should get that round

hard to argue with that - he definitely looked like he was just going through the motions tonight.

damn, Martin's face is jacked up

edit: good stoppage. I'm not sure that trying to reinvent himself as a grappler is the best way to go for the Hitman.

yeah, he was a little too dependent on it. i'm not sure what his strategy was. it did look like a possible eye poke or something in the 1st really threw Kampmann off, and it looked like he was off after that. But Condit just has so much variety with his strikes, he should have beat Hendricks in his fight and i'm not sure what he can do differently against George

Anyone else continuing to be surprised and impressed by Gastelum?

For some one so young and so raw, he continues to provide wonderful balance to his game.

Last night he used his strong take down game, good foot work, good striking and a quick and decisive finish with a submission.

I love his move down in weight. That appears to be a much better weight class for him. They mentioned during the telecast that he was roughly the same weight last night as in his last fight against Hall which was up a weight class.

Another thing that caught my eye/ear was after watching what appeared to be animal in Brandon Thatch, he was extraordinarily well spoken on the mike. It was a classic don't read a book by its cover as I expected the speaking skills of a Diaz brother.

Very impressed here. Thought he might have trouble if Melancon was truly a step up, but I'm not sure about that. The Seth B. thrashing might have been a flash. Wonder who he gets next....

yeah it is always tricky to know if a guy did well or his opponent tanked, but at least he is putting in consistent strong efforts.

With his age (going to be only 22 in late October), he does not really require a major step up in any sort of hurry. Depending on Paolo Thiago's health, perhaps they could be matched up again (that was Gastelum's original opponent last night I think).

Just crown his ###.
Yeah, it was a real easy decision for Kongo. He should destroy everybody in that division, unless his chin has really gotten to the point of being absolute glass. But he will sell like a champ there, and he can be a nice blue chip in TNA for them too. His finishing move can be to just kick everybody in the nuts

I have not watched TNA in a long time. Are Tito and Rampage active wrestlers or are they just involved in the story lines?

I am completely embarrassed to mention this, but i find myself turning on TNA almost every week just to see the train wreck. They haven't really wrestled yet, they do the usual tie each other up or get involved when it is like 5 on 5. I am not a Pro Wrestling expert, but Rampage looks utterly horrible trying to "play fight". They are on camera each week, and it seems each week they get a little more lines. They both are involved in the main story line, so it seems they will be there for awhile. I do have to give the TNA battle to Tito

Will be real interesting to see what kind of buy rates the PPV gets on Saturday. It is a good card, definitely one i would think about getting. But with a card just on Wednesday, and another card on the Wednesday coming up, I just can't think they will have a lot of people buying this one. I am really intrigued for this main event, and would love to see Pettis win it, but Bendo has made significant improvements too. I worry he will try and out-wrestle Pettis for 5 rounds, but hopefully not.

Have no idea what to expect from Mir-Barnett. Guida-Mendes is intriguing, i think Mendes will be too quick, but Guida can hang a bit. Rothwell-Vera is bleh, but hopefully we can be pleasantly surprised by one of them. I think the last one on the PPV card is Poirer-Kock which should be a real fun, exciting fight

How's Mir done against the big, strong wrestlers he's fought in the last few years? I don't see any difference here. He has a submission artists's chance, but that's it IMO.

I like Henderson and I think he has the edge, but I'm rooting for Pettis. Shame he didn't get that fight against Aldo, that would've been more fun.

I called Direct TV to "negotiate" and I got this UFC 164 PPV for free :pickle:

I like Henderson a lot. Looking forward to it.

Ryan Couture needs to be thinking about a new profession.

Best thing you can say about the guy is he can take a shot. Guy's standup is terrible -- made no use of his 5-6 inch reach advantage. I'd be surprised if he got another UFC fight.

He seemed tentative at times. His shtick is he's tall and can kick, but that's literally all he can do (at least, based on tonight's fight)\

Looking forward to seeing Hulk here. Seems to be a buzz about him.

Is the facebook stream dead for anyone else?

nevermind, firefox being dumb.

CHICO!!!

What an upkick! What a finish! Give the fight to Chico. Kang did next to nothing when he had Chico on his back in the 3rd.

A little surprised by the unanimous decision, but the right guy won. Chico did more with his opportunities than the Korean.
yeah, i had money on Chico so glad he won, but i really thought that was going to Kong. i have no idea how you give him 30-27 though. i also think that it's good news for Pettis which i like too.

yeah, whew Lim is just nasty. dude is huge for WW too. need to see more of him, but he landed some bombs on Krausse

they really need to dock points for some of these eye pokes. that one by Elliot was completely irresponsible, and i think if they aren't going to change the gloves they need to take a point for a guy not being more responsible for his striking when it is that bad

Vera is ####ed if he continues to let Rothwell move forward and push him back into the cage to negate his enormous quickness advantage.

As I was saying :excited:

Brandon's tank was on E and quit circling and kept just moving back against the cage. Credit Rothwell with pressing the action.
