C'mon dude.
Jacare's run in UFC and Strikeforce before that is is 14 wins and 2 losses with 11 of those wins being finishes and only 3 decisions. In that stretch he has wins over Tim Kennedy, Robbie Lawler, Mousassi, Boetch, and Belfort. his one loss in the past 5 years was a split decision loss to Yoel Romero. Romero is the only guy who has an argument to be a more legit contender to the 185 belt and he's juicer, a cheater and a ####in weirdo and still with any justice in the world he should have lost that Tim Kennedy fight.
Romero, Jacare, Rockhold, Mousassi, and (Yes, still...) Weidman are all legitimate contenders who should make anyone at 185 nervous. I can't remember the last time there were 5 non-champions at 185 who I viewed as championship material. Then you have a whole slew of "probably not champions, but you never know" guys -- Uriah Hall, Boetch, Robert Whittaker, Hector Lombard, Derek Brunson...185 is better now than it's ever been.
It may be easy to forget that not that long ago we had Anderson Silva as the top 1,2,3,4,5 fighter in the division, and Rich Franklin in spots 6-8 and a rotating cast of jabronies changing for spots 9 and 10 every 3 months. .
