What a tremendous human being. After all the #### that Chael talked, Silva whipped his ### then invited him to a BBQ. Prince vs Charlie Murphy like.

Mazagotti has got to be happy, at least he won't be the scape goat for awhile.

And i have to say though, if Chael doesn't get that takedown to start the round you have to wonder what he could do. The replay showed the knee hit the chest, and it didn't look like Anderson did a ton of damage to finish off Chael.

If Chael doesnt go for a highlight spinning back fist, he doesnt fall down.

List of things white men shouldn't do:1) Jump2) Attempt spinning back fists against Anderson Silva.

Yeah, i feel bad for Chael with that one. He will be regretting that for a long time. He didn't have to throw that to win this fight, and i guarantee he will be regretting that for awhile.

So is Chael going to leave the UFC forever like he promised?
I would think he may, i don't know what else he has to do in the UFC since it may take him a fight or 2 to win another title shot. I could see the argument for it though, the way he dominated that 1st round. He doesn't throw that spinning backfist could have been a different fight. But, you have to think the WWE would take him in a heartbeat, and he would do just fine over there i am guessing with having him do only a few moves and a lot of promoting. A story line with him vs. Brock Lesnar would sell good

Like someone said, Silva isn't all of a sudden going to learn how to defend takedowns.\
Update?
I do think the jury is still out on this one. And not only with defending takedowns, but being able to sweep or get up once he has a good wrestler on top of him. I hope Anderson doesn't retire yet, though who knows. I still think this is his possible weakness, especially with how dominant that 1st round was.

If they're going to let Silva grease up pre-fight, throw illegal knees and pull the trunks, they need to settle this once and for all.

Falls count anywhere, West Linn Oregon street fight.

hmm, seems like Rashad Evans just called out Anderson on twitter. I have to say that fight intrigues me. Rashad has sound wrestling for sure, but his chin has been banged up before. I think that would be a good fight for both though.

And I am pretty sure my money will be on Munoz come Wednesday, i think he can do ok with Anderson as well. Not saying he would win, but he could put up a fight. I just hope Dana lays a lot of money on the table to keep Anderson around

I don't think Rashad would last a round. He'd try to go toe to toe with Anderson.

Too bad they'd never do Bones vs. Silva. That's the only thing that really intrigues me.

Just rewatched Tito-Forrest. I stand by my initial thoughts that Tito should have won 29-28. Forrest really did look like Leonard Garcia out there. Sure he peppered Tito plenty of times too with Tito sticking his big head forward and having zero movement, but Tito did enough to win that fight i think. Especially if they count knockdowns like they do in every other fight

I still would love to see GSP-Silva, but i doubt either fight happens with Bones or GSP. Would be great to see, but i don't know that Anderson wants to do that. I think GSP's wrestling would dominate that fight, and i am still pissed they never fought a few years ago when everybody talked about it because GSP was the underdog and i was ready to lay a ton of money on him

If Kim gets up to -160, my play becomes Maia or no play.
So how did you do tonight Hooter? I wish i would have taken your advice on this one here, I had too much on Kim tonight. I ended up down for the night, but could have been worse. So what do we have for Wednesday? I think i like Munoz over Weidman, I don't see either trying to wrestle the other and if they try I don't think it will matter much. So my guess is we get 2 wrestlers in a stand-up match. And i think Munoz has the advantage in the stand-up game. There are some interesting fights on the rest of the card:UFC on FUEL TV 4 Fight CardJul 11, 2012 10:00 PM EDT Mark Munoz vs Chris Weidman Andrew Craig vs Rafael Natal T.J. Dillashaw vs Vaughan Lee Raphael Assuncao vs Issei Tamura Chris Cariaso vs Josh Ferguson Rafael dos Anjos vs Anthony Njokuani Alex Caceres vs Damacio Page Aaron Simpson vs Kenny Robertson Joey Beltran vs James Te Huna Marcelo Guimaraes vs Dan Stittgen Francis Carmont vs Karlos VemolaI think i like Te Huna, Caceres, Dos Anjos, Asuncao, and Dillashaw as well. Of course i need to sign the lines, but there is potential money to be made here, I know i need it

Rewind the fight. Right before Chael attempts a flailing takedown, he got popped in the chin pretty good (he might have landed a punch at the same time). He was dazed, which is why he went for the takedown. That daze lasted a while, which is why he lost his balance on the spinning back fist.

And one more about Tito-Forrest befoer this fight actually starts. You have to think Forrest felt he lost too, and that is why he was heading to the back. He isn't running out of the cage because he thought he won
Or he did it out of respect for Tito. Give the octagon to himself one final time. Which is why I felt he left to begin with. Forrest won that. Wasn't close. If it were even a split decision, might have a leg to stand on. No use talking about a pretty brutal bout overall. Now for the big fight.
Forrest's answer was "he wasn't thinking" I don't know what exactly we can infer from that, but i am going to guess he didn't do it out of respect for Tito. And if Forrest possibly would have wanted to give Tito respect, he wouldn't have taken the mic from Rogan to do his shtick on the mic. I have been a Forrest fan, but these antics are a bit old.

:goodposting: I noticed that too when i rewatched the end of the fight. The last 30 seconds or so of that fight were really pretty beautiful, Silva's accuracy and speed with his shots is really impressive

Tito's face is lumped up.
:lmao: I can't believe Dana gave Tito-Forrest fight of the night. I think Le-Cote should have got it, and granted there weren't too many exciting fights on the card, but that was certainly not worthy of the FON. I get giving Tito some support for his last fight, but might have been better to just give him some funny behind the scenes.

I cannot think of a stranger card ever. I was so pumped for this card and after it was over I just kind felt shocked at what I had seen all night. Even the fights they showed on the PPV after the main event were just kind of off.

The only good fight throughout was the Le v Cote fight. Very happy Le won that fight and hope he comes back and keeps winning.

And was it ever fully explained what happened to Kim? It looked like his rib, but he fell on the opposite side he was holding.

Impressed with Boozer's takedown defense. Obviously the difference in the fight. Didn't think he had that.

Unimpressed with Tito's heart who I'm a big fan of. No pop or energy whatsovever in the later years (I guess that shouldn't surprise).

Unimprssed with Kim's heart.

I like the patience from Guillard.

Although he lost I was impressed with Le's conditioning which I thought was suspect.

As for Sonnen I think he served that fight up for Silva. I think Sonnen was in a great spot and then he got crazy and out of his comfort zone. But big props to Silva for staying aggessive and making Sonnen pay for his mistakes.

Ya, the shoulder bump at the presser, and the greasing, questionable knee, and the grabbing of the shorts was off-putting. But ultimately, in the moment when Chael froze (up against the fence after tripping), Silva did not and to me that was the fight. To me Chael looked so clueless there. I'd wondered if he got clipped.
