I am crazy giving Bonnar even a small chance and for thinking +817 is a good bet? But I think it'll around +900 by fight time,
Yes, you are crazy. I can't even give Bonnar a punchers chance since he is so slow and has so little power. Silva will dummy him. Is it three or five rounds? I could possibly see Bonnar holding him down long enough to eek out a decision in a three round fight. Not a chance in five rounds.
I know it's a freakshow, but it's hard not to get excited after seeing the Forrest fight.
Oh I'm excited for it. I'm a huge Silva fan and anything that gets him in the ring is worth it regardless if it is a huge mismatch. Hopefully he KO's him in spectacular fashion.

Main event, 5 rounds. My reasoning is that I put a ton of weight into a fighter's reach, and Bonnar is the first person Anderson has fought where Anderson is at a reach disadvantage. If Bonnar's reach gives him a chance at distance and he can clinch with Anderson whenever they get close, he's got a small chance to get lucky.

No chance in 5 rounds. How big is the reach advantage? Can't be much and the little that is there is negated by the speed and skill advantage IMO.

Silva has pretty good reach with his legs.

But Bonnar has never been knocked out nor submitted!!!!

And it's three rounds - supposedly because they agreed to fight on kind of a short notice and won't have a full camp.

I also wouldn't be shocked if Dana went to Bonnar and said 'here is some extra cash, don't try to take him down'. Silva losing would be horrible for the UFC.

Like when he was screaming EA sucks... then he signs with EA.Karo Parisyan will never fight in the UFC again!!! Oh wait, yeah he will.Kimbo will never fight in the UFC! Oh wait, I he'll make the UFC money. Lets sign him.I'm sure I could come up with more but the point is, is that his word means very little.

We all know that there's some dumb fighters in the UFC, but I'm actually embarrassed to say that I'm from Minnesota whenever I hear Volkmann open his mouth. "Yeah, U of MN fight song!" "Yeah, finished my first guy in like nine fights, so I'm now a finisher!" "I'm running for President!" He clearly has no social skills despite his best attempts to sound intellectual and/or funny all the time. Quite frankly, I'm not even sure why people bother interviewing him any more. He had some lame brained response (or non-response depending upon how you view it) in the cage post-fight, so then what does Fuel TV decide to do? Give him some more air time with an interview. 100% tool box.

:goodposting: Not to sound insulting to the guy (and not that having an axis I diagnosis is insulting), but it really seems like he has some form of Asperger's. The guy definitely seems socially awkward, though i can say it was refreshing to see him finish a fight (even if it was Roller)

Griffin spoke to “The MMA Hour” about whether or not he would be in Brazil for UFC 153 and even weighed in on the idea of cornering Bonnar against Silva, a man to whom he lost in lopsided fashion three years ago. “I still have the smell of Anderson’s urine on me,” Griffin said. “I don’t want to sully up his corner. That’s crazy talk.”
:lmao:

Rolling with PeeWee Herman tonight at +250.
man, do i want to but i have been burned by him so many times i am utterly scared to even try. bets i got tonight are Madadi -170, Tibau -150, and Glover -300 (or something) contemplating some others, not sure yet though

I like Glover too.I just think Nog is way too old, worn down and washed up to be that big of a favorite against a guy who is better than the way he has fought so far in the UFC...homefield advantage be damned.

without a doubt, the score for Tibau here is either 29-28 Tibau, or at worst, 28-28 because the judges would score rd. 2 10-8. If Tibau loses, i am done betting anything on these UFC cards in Brazil

Holy crap. for the first time in 150+ PPVs, it seems like they actually paid for a professional translator rather than finding some guy on craigolisto before the fight.

i hate betting on Fitch, but that line has gotten out of hand:

Fitch +160

Maia -135

Hermann +225 (yuck)

and Glover -350 (or something)

i missed it, but i have to say that lady in japan with the huge pen was the best translator i have seen in a long time. Not only did she have her cetain bit of pizz-pazz, but she also was fast as hell, and good as hell too

He twisted his neck until blood came out of his nose.
Yeah, I couldn't figure out what happened there. If that was the case, that is some scary stuff. From seeing 2 155 pound guys that could utterly destroy me in a matter of minutes, to seeing the blood come out of Story's nose, to seeing Rogan yell at the translator that maia can speak for himself, to seeing Prado get his hat back, it makes me think this will be an exciting night

I still think that eye poke to prado in the 1st fight was a blessing for Davis. It looked like Prado was doing well in that one, and that maybe Davis took Prado lightly going in to that fight. very different approach by Davis tonight and it was why he won

i'll pee myself if Fitch can finish this in the 1st. i thought Fitch was nice at the price he was, and took the under 2.5 rounds thinking that it was a nice hedge on Fitch with the price.

also have to say if Fitch can finish Silva, it should bump him back up the rankings in the WW division. that would be an impressive win if he demonstrates that killer instinct
