UFC wagering: no longer stuck with the old thread title. The window to change it is here! (7 Viewers)

these Reebok uniforms blow. i don't know who anybody is fighting on these overseas cards. and with them still pushing Fram Oil as much as they do, i'm starting to go toward Hooter's side here of just not liking the deal at all
Reebok just sucks period. So no surprise to me with this unimaginative crap and designs they've put out.

I'd love to say I'd stop buying Reebook stuff after this deal, but I've never bought a Reebook product in my life.

Real close fight. I have it 3 rounds to 2 for Leites. Seems ripe for split decision. Then again I thought Matt Hamill easily beat Bisping too.

What was with Bisping tripping over himself so much. :lmao:

Edit: No clue how one scores that fight 4-1 Bisping.

agreed 4-1 seemed like a stretch, but i had 3-2 Bisping. most of the rounds were pretty close so it did look like it could go either way

Pretty disappointing to see a guy that is universally loved get dismissed like that.

When I read the original article, I was thinking...this might not end well for the guy. But then as I read it I thought...seems like a pretty fair, honest take without any real malice towards the UFC/Dana White. I really thought the guy showed a lot of professionalism with how he formed his answers.

I would love to see a big name fighter come out and demand his reinstatement, but I doubt that will happen.

I always liked Dana and thought he was pretty funny. I'm done with the UFC. I met Stitch once when he came overseas for a UFC trip to meet the troops. He was a very nice guy and although I was more excited to meet the fighters he ended up being the best part of their visit. Pretty crappy thing they did to him

UFC needs a PR team in the worst way. Been needing one for years, actually.
i actually think there may be a method to the madness on this one. There was a lot of heat on Reebok when this went down and things were coming bad all around. seems like a good time for "crazy Dana" to come out and take the heat away from Reebok for a bit. Dana's reputation won't take any long-term damage from this but it will get people talking about him instead of Reebok for at least 1 day

If the UFC was going to team up with an apparel company, why not Nike? They have better designs and probably more money long term. But they sign with a 2nd rate company like Reebok for 6 years for a meager $70 mil?

I'd think under armor would me more of a natural fit for the UFC brand, but what do I know.

Honestly I don't care who he brand is but the UFC needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with Rebock and get them to change the ring gear ASAP. You can't have white and black uniforms and then have 40% of the white uniform have black in it and have 40% of the black uniform have white in it.

I havent seen much heat on Reebok from the beginning. UFC agreed to the deal. It was a terrible deal for the fighters.

Yes the fighters 'uniforms' are ####ty but then is that really unexpected? Everything from Reebok period is ####.

Just humorous the great lengths Dana will go to try to persuade everyone this is a great deal. But yeah, just awesome that a 46 year old company head goes trolling on Twitter putting down paying customers. He really got a bunch of people with those profile pic and # of followers zingers.

Again, he's (soon to be) 46 years old.

Not super amped about tonight's card, but there are actually some fun fights on there. Main card is solid. Hope Barão wins so I can care about the division again. ^____^

 have to disagree, dana is just adding fuel to the (legitimate) fire. Reebok deal sucks. Fight kits suck. Firing stitch sucks. And looking increasingly like a petulant brat on twitter sucks. cannot possibly be good for the brand to alienate your talent, your longstanding employees, and your fans all at the same time.

They're going to hand over market share to Bellator et al, and eventually will regret it.
Part of being a fighter has always been promoting yourself. They are taking away the fighters ability to do so. I want to rent for Joe vs Jack, not Red vs Blue.

man, i really like both of these guys so much. This is one of those fights where i want them both to win, and it is looking like it might end that way since they both look really good so far

Is there a formula for all these "rankings"?

Never understood them
i forget who they picked to do them but it is usually mentioned the "MMA media" does. but i have heard guys who are well respected MMA guys say the people they chose are not good. i think it has got better though

i wondered that again when i saw Dom was ranked #2. i love that guy, but it is a little high for him i think

Until proven otherwise, Cruz is the real champion. He never lost the belt, hasn't lost since 2007 (and that was as a 21 year old kid thrown in with prime Faber), and walked right through a tough Mizugaki less than a year ago. Healthy Cruz does the exact same thing to Barao -- and maybe does that to TJ too.

fun night of fights.

I'm a big honk for Ben Saunders so I was happy to see him get the decision but... man, that was a close fight.

Who picked Filthy Tom for the KO over Gian Villante? I did not see that coming.

Joe Lauzon = class. Love that guy.

I think Paul Felder still raised his stock even in that loss. great fight. That spinning back kick to the nuts was fckking brutal.

and Dillashaw. It cannot be overstated how important Bang Ludwig is (was? I still don't understand the current Faber-Ludwig relationship) to TAM fighters. Dat 79 punch combo. good lord. felt almost like the end of Tito/Chuck 1.

I made a stupid rookie mistake and didn't extend my dvr. That's on me, but what in the ####, man!? The main event bell didn't even ring before the time slot ended and one of the three fights on the main card was a 1st round KO! That's some real ####ty planning.

Noticed that too and it's not the first time. Seems like they do it on purpose. "Main card is going on at X time no matter what happens in the other fights. All the other fights 1st round KOs? Show an hour of commercials, run some promos, have some talking heads blabber on about what might or might not happen in the main event."

Same thing happened to me.... ARGH!!! :wall: :wall: :wall:
