It was a scheduled 5 rounder but Hooker, the original opponent, dropped out late due to injury.
Due to the very short notice replacement, it was reduced to three rounds, I assume to accommodate the replacement fighter.

Happening way too much now days. Strickland fight comes to mind too. Way too much defence and guys loosing championship matches without a scratch on them. That needs trend needs to stop.

If you have Amazon Prime, love combat sports, and don't know, the One Championships are on all the time. Lots of old replays to catch up on the fighters. Muay Thai mostly, but some kickboxing, mma and submission grappling mixed in. Muay Thai is better than mma or boxing to me. Three three minute rounds of action every time. Legit superstars. Great action. I'm watching yesterday's card and it's 1000 times better than most ufc cards. Plenty of global superstars who'd be big problems in the ufc. Muay Thai is just nuts. Huge fight in a few weeks between Takeru and Rodtang.
Most Fridays One drops a 4 hour weekly session on Youtube. These are even better if you like wars and knockouts. It's their preliminary circuit with fighters vying for a contract to the big show. It's been fun following a few fighters from Friday fights to prime time on Prime.

When I look at this card and think meh, i think it's because we were so spoiled in that 2000-2015ish range. Looking back it was crazy how awesome those cards were a decade plus ago.

314 this weekend. Fired up for this one. Big Volk fan and excited for him vs Lopes, should be a banger. Chandler vs Pimblett will be fun. I think Chandler blasts the mop off his head. Rest of the card looks fun as hell too, some really exciting fights on paper.

It's gonna be a fun fight. Big test for Paddy and Chandler wasted so much time waiting on McGregor we'll have to see if that hurts or helps him. I think he's got a little too much power and experience for Paddy just yet, but it's a pretty perfect fight for both of them and I'm excited for it either way. I can't discount Chandler's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory though. It's been awhile since I've been this excited for a card top to bottom.

i saw silva barely made weight, I'm really glad he did though. That fight with Mitchell could be really fun (i think Silva puts his lights out early). Bryce takes things a little far and i worry one day he'll actually think he's fighting a real demon.

wow was that impressive. Silva has every skill in the book. There was some question about his take down defense since he has not been tested in that area and he looked incredible at that defense tonight.

Great card! Loved the beat down on Mitchell. Silva is so dangerous. Paddy......wow. i did not see complete domination like that coming. Glad to see it, he puts a little more juice in the UFC. Volk is still Volk, happy to see him back at the top, big fan. Awesome fight and much respect for Lopes. I don't know if the moment got the best of him, but he didn't have enough urgency until it was far to late. I'm a fan though and i hope he gets to wear the belt at some point in the future, easy guy to root for.

I thought Paddy was a hyped-up, yapping chihuahua farce, but he pulverized Chandler. That was impressive. He called out the big boys for his next fight.
Yair looked huge compared to Pitbull and cruised to an easy win.
Forgot to mention earlier that Dominick Reyes was also impressive... he gave that guy some scrambled brains at the end with those sleeper shots.

I love it. He's always been a fan of boxing and UFC. I thought it was a lot less focused on him last night than many of the other past fights. He was pretty laid back enjoying the evening and acknowledging the fighters all night it looked like to me. It's a little tough for the cameras not to catch glimpses of him throughout the night with him sitting ringside.
I thought it was hilarious with Dana snapping a photo last night when Dominick Reyes requested a photo of he and Trump post-fight.

Watched the co main and main event last night. Tough way to go out for Smith, but Mingyang looked good and those elbows were nasty. Garry looked pretty good too against a tough opponent in Prates. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here.
