Uh Oh....Packers found a running back. (1 Viewer)

Don't look now but Ryan Grant is averagaing 92 YPG since taking over as starter for the 8-1 Packers. This is against the 31st, 17th and 3rd ranked rush defenses. Oh yeah and his best game came against the best defense. He's Dorsey Levens-esque. He even looks a little like Levens.

That O-line deserves some credit. They're keeping Favre upright and opening some nice holes for Grant.

They should get some credit because they sure got the heat earlier in the season. I think Brandon Jackson was the main reason for the early season floundering.

Been thinking this too. Impressive game yesterday.J
It was a nice day. But as NFL Network pointed out, the Packers Game plan was smart and helped a lot. They had the Vikings Defense on their heels protecting against the pass. The LB's were constantly dropping back 5 or more yards. Packers had one of the best game plans against the Vikings as far as running went in the first half. Use the fact that the defense was scared of the passing game to open up the running game.

Farve looked 10 years younger yesterday. He was really zipping the ball around and a few times his wr's just couldnt hang on even though it hit them in the hands. Their Defense was really impressive as well. They should blank the Cats next week. It might be uglier than it was yesterday.

as has been pointed out in the larger Grant thread, he/the Packers have the easiest SOS from here on out by far.

grant was impressive yesterday.

there are some RBs that fight like hell for yardage. there are some that don't.

grant does.

if this remains, this packers team will certainly be a huge factor in the NFC.

Why am I in big big trouble? I didn't do do anything!
Billy Madison reference.
NOPE. Happy Gilmore. Please edit post to refer only to NFC teams.
No your all in Big Big Trouble was when Billy caught the dodgeball no? I used a hybrid title on the thread. The title was indeed a line from Happy Gilmore, but the second was in fact a reference to the famed dodgeball game that occurred during recess of Miss Lippy's class.

And to think, a few teams in my league bypassed him a few weeks ago on the waiver wire since, according to them, they didn't think much of the Packers' 4th starting RB this year. I have to imagine they're kicking themselves a new one as we speak.
