Depends on how much earlier, but I'm open. I think 8 CST is the earliest I'd like to start.
I'll second this... 9pm EST (8 CST) is the earliest I can be available.I'd also like to see a posting of complete rules and draft proceedure. I've never done a FBG's online draft, so I'm not familiar with how it's done.

What's the start date? And will it be live draft, draft via email or what? I'm way behind here. Sorry guys.

The whole reason I picked this league was because I'm west coast and it had a later start time. I'm not sure how we're doing this, though. If you guys want to start earlier and don't mind potentially waiting on me to make a pick or if I can pre-draft the first round or two, I've got no reason to want to hold up the draft. If it's live, I'm going to be able to more actively participate with the later start.

Actually, I can only start early if it's OK to call Andy a stupid cracker the whole draft.

I'll work with whatever the league decides, but I specifically chose the league because of the later time and would prefer to keep it the same.. 8 central is really pushing it for me...

Fair enough. Clayton mentioned in one of the other league's threads that he could move the time if everyone was on board with it, and only if it worked for everyone. So it looks like that won't happen for us. So its 10:30pm on the 21st. I'm sure Clayton will send us instructions on how/where to draft. And speaking of Clayton, WhoTH still has a Prodigy email address? Didn't that die out before Atari 2600's???

Come on - you guys are in the Ultimate Survivor League of the Shark Pool... you should be prepared to handle anything.... :hophead: ......but, a few details would be nice since our draft is only a few days away.

Are we drafting via posts here in a thread?
I think Clayton mentioned that we would be using another site for the draft.
Via email or live?
I will defer to CG on this, but the scoring rules and lineups are listed above. This is a survivor league... where you will be auto-starting your best lineup each week. Lowest score is voted off.... 11 remaining teams move on to the next week and so on.I assume no immunity but if there is, the highest team from one week cannot be voted off the next week... I believe that this rule not part of this contest though.MFL life draft. Did I miss anything?

:goodposting: There is no immunity, and a few weeks will see two teams leaving since we have to lose eight teams in five weeks (in order to have four advance to the next round).

How many rounds is the draft? Are there any limits on the number of players you can draft at a position? Are there any transactions? (I'm assuming "no" on this one...)

Not sure on the draft size. CG?edited: Thanks Tony... 22 rounds. No limit to who you can draft at any position. In fact, an EXCELLENT plan is to draft as many kickers as possible... :football: No transactions - no trading or free agency... you draft it and that's who you get.. If you're one of the 4 to advance, you redraft based on your leg 2 competition.

Some of us have not used MFL for live drafts. Any particulars around it?

When do we get a link/info to access it?

Do we need to provide a preordered player list?

How much time between picks?

thx

Here is the "official ultimate survivor" thread that Dodds started to announce the league...it has some of the scoring specifics in it:

http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...timate+survivor

Scoring Rules for Defense/ST:

Performance/PPR Leagues:

Sack - 1 point

Fumble Recovery - 2 points

INT - 2 points

TD scored - 6 points

Points scored against:

0 = 10 points

2-9 = 5 points

10-19 = 3 points

20-29 = 1 point

30+ = 0 points

Thanks guys! I think I'm all set now.

Anyone want to forfeit now and just save themselves some time? :boxing:

Sorry to beat this dead horse but...If we keep our picks to an average of 60 seconds, it'll take nearly 4.5 hours to get through 22 rounds. That'll make for a nasty Tuesday morning for us east coasters. If 8CST is too early, can we consider 8:30CST? 8:45CST?

Login should have been mailed today. The draft room is basically at 13 person chat (commissioner and 12 teams).Picks are drop down driven - pretty easy. You can log in now if you want to get the flow of it... simply select Owner - > Draft.. and then there is a link to live draft where you can enter the draft room. You can also 'pre-draft' as you would a slow live draft and when it comes to your pick, it will just take your top available.Picks move fast if everyone is paying attention. We knocked out the magazine live draft (18 rounds) in less than 3 hours. No trades helps. A minute a pick is a lot.

Hey guys...due to some complications on a business trip this past week, I will not be able to participate in this league as I will be returning home Monday night during the draft. I have sent David Dodds a pm explaining the situation and hopefully he can find a replacement. Good luck to you all...

Hi all. Just found this thread. Sure it will be a fun league. Enjoy competing for 2nd.

I will start any time. Just need to know when and I'll make it work.

Can't wait :wall:

Just letting everyone know that bubba191919 had a conflict arise and needs to withdraw. He will be replaced by tex.

I have been chosen to take Bubba's spot, and I will try and hold up my end of the MB guys. Tons of talent here and this will be a blast.

Scoring for the Defense? Is it just defense or are special teams included?
This is what happens when FFA guys venture into the Shark Pool.
Well since we're drafting a defense, I'm guessing that defense also scores points. And with all the chum in the pool, I avoid more threads than I read in the SP.And you know I"m not FFA exclusive. I'm bi-forum. NTTAWWT

Anyone know how long yesterday's draft went?
Looking at the draft site, it looks like 3 1/2 hours. Not bad. :goodposting:
It was 3.5 hours. There is no reason for a draft to go beyond 4 hours max if everyone is halfway prepared. If you go too slow, you get to feel the wrath of the Commish, Clayton "Iron Fist" Gray. :excited:
