Uncharted 4 thread (1 Viewer)

the exploding skeletons can suck my #### ...lol
I didn't think that part was that bad, but i died a few times there.

These encounters where you have no opportunity to stealth have been excruciating though.  It is so hard on hard.  Prob die dozens of times.   I have no desire to try on crushing.   Too often they stick you in a situation where you don't have the artillery to survive.   There was a part I was pitted up against an armoured LMG dude with 0 explosives in my loadout.  Eventually I saw that some guys with grenade launchers spawn and you could shoot them, take their weapon and then finish the LMG guy, but literally dozens of deaths had to transpire to learn that.

And THEN...

On that part where you have to RPG the truck after wiping out a wave and then run from the 2nd truck... I prob spent a half hr constantly dying to the 2nd truck as I picked up another RPG and figured I could take it out... even tried to find an escape when I began dying for no reason (seriously, the place I was safe at for all 3 RPG rockets suddenly becomes instadeath with no angle for the turret)... but I'm an idiot so I didn't try to jump on the ledge I guess.  Finally had to look on youtube because I knew I was obviously doing something wrong.  Super frustrating.

Just got to Madagascar (Chapter 10). The game is visually stunning, I can't say that enough. Also the climbing and swinging/rock sliding is so much fun and so smooth. I think the controls are fantastic on this one compared to past UC games. I am also really loving the story so far.

How many chapters does the game have....I am finding myself playing one a day.

not sure if spoiler worthy.  But just in case.

Number of chapters

24.   Well 22 plus prologue and epilogue.

So about your second spoiler

I dropped my RPG and picked up a gun.  The second truck comes out and ####!!!  I run out and try to scramble for an rpg and just kept getting mowed down until I realized I had to jump up in the barn and run ....hahah

I kept the RPG and picked up 3 rounds.  It only took 2 to destroy the identical truck.   So after firing 3 into it and then insta-dying to the gun that had 0 angle on me 10 or so times I finally tried to run around a bit. I don't know how I didn't find that ledge on my own.  They couldn't put some Fing white on it or something?!??! FFS!  I couldn't even enjoy running from the truck because I was so salty about having to have had looked that up.

They say it's the last one but they left a few options open for another one.  I'd say it's 80-85% likely there's some kind of sequel or reboot eventually.  Really good/Great game though.  Maybe just a rental unless you get into the Multiplayer, but it fully delivered (and then some) on expectations.  I do wish the story was a little more complex.  I felt like Sam should have double crossed Nathan (or at least more strongly hinted to, like they did with Sully).  So that was a little bland, but I found the story pretty moving.  And bringing back the poloroid in the

TLOU style epilogue was an emotional homerun for me.  Really cool game.

Finished the game, I haven't played any others in the series, but I did read that the games have a reputation for being pretty short.  Took me 18 hours, so I was disappointed.  I guess I'm supposed to want to play through again on harder levels or play a bunch of multiplayer, but its more likely I'll do neither.

Cool game, great graphics, some challenging fights, enjoyed the climbing, but too short/not robust enough as far as play variety imo.

I've enjoyed it more the further I've gotten. There's still something that's missing the mark for me.

But the graphics are astonishing. The subtleties they're able to achieve in the facial expressions really make me feel for the characters. Or maybe that's just because I really  Elana Fisher.

Finished last night. I ended up enjoying it more as the game went on.

IMO both 2 & 3 are better, or at least were more fun. But still totally worth the price of admission. Took me just over 16 hours to finish.

Just finished. I liked it, didnt love it. Graphics were amazing. Chapter 11 was insane. The last few chapters were very short.
