Under what circumstances should an officer use deadly force? (1 Viewer)

What is your definition?
I believe Louisiana uses it to mean "such an appearance of threatened and impending injury as would put a reasonable and prudent man to his instant defense."  Of course, we would need to add in something to the effect that "a known violent fugitive from justice or fleeing suspect with known history of violence [and list the types of violent crimes we mean] carries a presumption of imminent danger such that failure to follow the lawful commands of officers of the law constitutes sufficient evidence of danger as to cause those officers to be in fear for themselves or the public."  Or something similar.  Probably needs a lot of tweaking.

I don’t have an issue with an officer shooting someone who is visibly armed and fleeing the scene of a crime.
