Love that run, touches and shot.Haji Wright came real close to scoring on his Coventry debut. Deflected shot barely tipped by keeper onto the crossbar.

wow that was really nice from the big guy.Haji Wright came real close to scoring on his Coventry debut. Deflected shot barely tipped by keeper onto the crossbar.
Wait...wow that was really nice from the big guy. That was a tough angle on the rebound but still a good chance to give Coventry the lead. They ended up losing it looks like 2-1.Haji Wright came real close to scoring on his Coventry debut. Deflected shot barely tipped by keeper onto the crossbar.

Was it haji on the break or haji on the rebound?

I was just adding extra commentary on the rebound because of the score line and eventual finish to the game.
I mean it is true that Weston and Aaronson were not good for Leeds last year, but given that almost the entire team sucked (Bamford was the real cause of the drop missing sitter after sitter), and that the Yanks were almost solely blamed by the fans (not Adams) makes it very easy to laugh at them if Weston and Aaronson do well this season away from them.Chelsea looks a little more attractive at the moment for Adams with Leeds down 2-0 at home to Cardiff at the half.

“Leeds United starting off their EFL Championship campaign down 2-0 against Cardiff at halftime while playing at home.
Rumor has it that their Englishfans are frustrated with the board, as they currently have no Americans
on the field to blame.”
I'm not sure why everyone is so sensitive about this. Their fans blamed all the players, the managers, Victor Orta, and the board. Pretending this is some anti-American bias is silly.I mean it is true that Weston and Aaronson were not good for Leeds last year, but given that almost the entire team sucked (Bamford was the real cause of the drop missing sitter after sitter), and that the Yanks were almost solely blamed by the fans (not Adams) makes it very easy to laugh at them if Weston and Aaronson do well this season away from them.Chelsea looks a little more attractive at the moment for Adams with Leeds down 2-0 at home to Cardiff at the half.

They woefully underachieved. Not surprising at all that players who were part of their promotion campaign and had built up goodwill got less harsh treatment. That's the way the world works.
I only half joke here of course. I know their fans were unhappy with many but the American's (outside of Adams) received massive abuse online from their fans.I'm not sure why everyone is so sensitive about this. Leeds relegation blamed on "signing half the USA team" in brutal assessment
The Yorkshire outfit dropped into the Championship after a two year stay in the top flight, with a 4-1 defeat against Tottenham sealing their fate on the final day of the season.www.mirror.co.uk
"Saw several comments calling Bamford a ****, a rat ******* etc, it’s just over the line. He’s a person at the end of the day and as far as I can see has always given his best effort on the pitch and done whatever he could to get a result. He’s Leeds, we’re Leeds, stop ****ing abusing our own players (note, abuse different to criticism)." - this is from February Reddit thread.I only half joke here of course. Ok, that’s what I thought but that’s what I said so was confused![]()
Sorry I think I may have misunderstood your initial post. I thought you were saying our CURRENT guys aren't on top teams because they're not good enough. In that case I was just saying Milan/Milan/Fulham/Fulham/PSV/PSV/Dortmund/Juve/etc may not be Barca/RM/Bayern/Man U/etc but they're still better than the teams the '94 guys were playing on at the time.
But sounds like you were initially referring to the '94 guys not being on top teams, not the current guys.
Those US players had no shot at all of playing on top teams, regardless of their abilities- there was distinct bias. A bunch of those guys in this era would be playing on similar teams.but they're still better than the teams the '94 guys were playing on at the time.
on top of the anti-US bias (due to zero precedent of top players), I'm pretty sure there were rules in the big leagues in place to have limits on the amount foreign players on rosters... something like 3.Those US players had no shot at all of playing on top teams, regardless of their abilities- there was distinct bias. I disagree it was no shot. Highly unlikely sure and definite bias but if they were good enough they would have gotten chances and then if they proved themselves more chances. Totally acknowledge it’s so much easier today.
that is mostly correct (some leagues had more restrictions that others but it was NOTHING like today in terms of foreign players in leagues).on top of the anti-US bias (due to zero precedent of top players), I'm pretty sure there were rules in the big leagues in place to have limits on the amount foreign players on rosters... something like 3.Those US players had no shot at all of playing on top teams, regardless of their abilities- there was distinct bias. I feel like I saw this was suppose to be streamed some where but I can't find the info out.

This seems perfect to me. Pulisic can help integrate Musah, especially with the guys he's already familiar with from Chelsea.... Musah can help Christian with his Italian.
Yup. I hit a nice 3 team parlay (full coverage) on today's games taking the O2.5 in each.Lots of extra time in the Championship this weekend, @guru_007 was right. Leeds tied it up in the 96th minute, and Sunderland were able to make a sub at 90 + 11. We're gonna see a ton of late goals
Arsenal are going to **** this all up by being too greedy I fear.......Ornstein:
EXCL: Arsenal reject written bid from Monaco for Folarin Balogun. Follows verbal offer turned down by #AFC after friendly. #ASMonaco pursuit ongoing - sporting directors have good relationship. #Inter keen but unclear if can afford @TheAthleticFC #USMNT

who can tell us who/what the competition is for Adams at the 6 at Chelsea... I gladly gave up following them. The Athletic | Football

Chelsea are set to step up their interest in Leeds United’s Tyler Adams this week. The USMNT midfielder's contract at Leeds contains a release clause in the region of £20million.
They are not even dressing him or letting him train with the main squad. I don't think they have any interest in him nor do I think Balogun wants to stay. It is a very bad situation.Maybe they see him as depth and don't want to give that up.Arsenal are going to **** this all up by being too greedy I fear.......Ornstein:

Right now? No one. Chelsea's best 6 is an 18 year old wonderkid named Andrey Santos from Brazil. Kid has skills and is gonna be a baller, but Adams would start over him easily right now.who can tell us who/what the competition is for Adams at the 6 at Chelsea... Per @Glongari, Tanner Tessmann is linked to Lazio, as the club looks to bolster its midfield
he has a cool back story, from Sciarettasweet goal from Esmir tonight. He is one of the jewels in the Revs system.
This would severely test my "root for anyone with a Yank" philosophy. I can't think of a fanbase I hate more.Per @Glongari, Tanner Tessmann is linked to Lazio, as the club looks to bolster its midfield
That ManU Hojlund deal really messed up the market. It's just hard for Arsenal to accept 35 million when Man U just paid 70 for a less accomplished (albeit a bit younger) player.Arsenal are going to **** this all up by being too greedy I fear.......Ornstein:

My hope is that he makes the roster there. It's been a pretty steep decline for him. If he gets PT, it would be a massive win
