US strike on North Korea - Scenario question (1 Viewer)

Um . . . still confused, sorry.  Shouldn't you be cheerleading Orange Cheeto on this manly show of force instead of hiding under your bed?

P.S., which guy is really unhinged?  Just checking.

P.P.S., this isn't going to result in a war, so you can resume your support for the alleged president now.
You cheerlead war dip####?

:lmao:

alleged , what a pant load

Yeah - you don't see a change in approach here? I'm open to learning. What is distinct about what is happening right now? All ears.
This could be much reporting adieu about a routine patrol. I mean the deployment was announced in January and... what. We patrol the South China Sea, cruise north to Japan, pick up a wing man and go say hey to S Korea. Happens annually. It's cool seeing a dozen F35Cs aboard. I hope they're not just wasting space.

Exactly. But don't go bringing reasoning in these threads.

Yeah but the patrol was headed to Australia, they changed course and are beelining for NK it seems.

Who would be happy . Who knows what intel they have for us to move more pieces into the area. Will this scare the fat midget or provoke him ? Usually a bully will back down but if this guy is really unhinged bad things can happen.
A little confused. Are you talking about Kim Jong Un or Kim Jong Trump?

We are lucky Trump is in there. It's inevitable that we are going to have to kill the fat toad. You can't put it off forever. He's nuts. The longer you wait the more likely something really bad is going to happen to an ally. This guy has to be stopped.

Sure, but the Vinson was just there.  Carrier battle groups move and change their plans all the time.  This is really not news, but of course we all know what's happening here in terms of using external FP events to distract from, say, domestic legislative catastrophes and investigations into certain people being de facto Russian agents.

    Can we send you right on over to iron this out for us?

Trump can't even manage to take out one runway with 59 Tomahawks. I'm sure he'd handle the delicate NK situation with ease though.

Well it sure seems like we are inviting confrontation. That seems like a Trump thing. Clinton, Bush and Obama all seemed to avoid that.
Not following this. It is not uncommon for US aircraft carriers to operate in that area, and the United States regularly deploys military assets to the region as a show of force. Also, every US administration has had harsh criticism for various actions by North Korea, including missile testing.

And I don't believe any of the administrations you cite here had to previously deal with the level of missile capability North Korea currently has, where a launch of a nuclear missile capable of reaching the US is now a viable possibility.

That's fine, I posted some articles on exactly that last point, I was just asking HT to do this kind of thinking. He started out by saying we were on the edge of nuclear war.
