Need some help. Anyone been to Bali?
For my GFs 30th Birthday I'm planning on surprising her with a trip to Bali in late September. She likes beach locations, tickets were cheap (Scott's Cheap Flights: $600 each, SFO to Bali), and a quick Google search showed it was a beautiful place. Other than that I have no idea of what to expect.
Then after doing more research, I'm still pretty lost as all the online guides sound the same and there's tons of options.
Any tips from those who have been before?
As vacationers go: we're laid back, foodies, and down for almost anything but not surfers or divers. Would like to spend part or all of the trip at a swanky resort/hotel (personal villa and/or infinity pool with great view). We'll be in Bali for 10 full days (excluding travel days), so wouldn't mind staying at different locations if it's worth it.
