Vegas just isn’t fun anymore…. (1 Viewer)

Will be there November 17th for NFL Sunday with my Dad. Will stay center strip either Caesars, TI, or Flamingo. Does anyone have a tip for a good NFL viewing experience for 4 guys, 3 middle-aged and one a bit elderly (though still fully mobile). I'm asking about maybe a reservation type thing for a nice table with good views for the games with a baked-in minimum spend akin to a Cabana for a pool experience. Preferably center-strip. TIA
The type of table you are asking for is very expensive. I believe Cesars was like $600 a person for a side table and that was just for the table. We ended up going over to Westgate for the college games and they had some high tables that were free to sit at and you can see all the games very well. I would recommend that. It's not center strip though.
Thank you for the info. Disappointing. We'll probably just wing it if that's the type of coin they're looking for. Heck, we can sit at any bar and watch games and just run over to the windows to put our bets in.
Uber to westgate at 9am. You should be able to claim 4 consecutive lounge chairs that are not only free with amazing view, but they give free drink tickets. Normally betting $200 at a time gets you the maximum drink tickets. They have a couple restaurants in the back and you can take food to the seats.

Ceasars is the worst possible option. If you insist on staying center strip, Ballagio is still a good sportsbook it's just not easy for seating.

Heading out to Vegas from Sat-Tues 11/23-11/26, I've been before but that was 20 years ago. Taking my son who just turned 21, we're both Raiders fans.
Catching the game on Sunday and was thinking about hitting up TopGolf afterward to watch the late game (my son is an avid golfer). Stadium tour Monday morning, Sphere show afternoon and then likely Circa for the Monday night game. We head out Tuesday morning.
We both will gamble some, but trying to keep the cost down. NL we both play, but looking for some lower end tables. Likely some BlackJack, VP, Let it Ride etc as long as the minimums aren't too high. Definitely want to take a look at the hotels/casinos on the strip as he's never been there.

Any recommendations on where to play, decent eats that won't break the bank etc?
Will travel be more difficult with F1 finishing up on Sat Night when we arrive?

Thanks (Lots of good info in here!)
As mentioned earlier, MGM 7-11 NL tourney probably the best bet.

Food-
It probably won't fit that exact schedule, but Bardot Brasserie in Aria has an insane Brunch (get french toast) for a normal price (30-40 bux).
Lago in Ballagio is about $60 per, but you get fountain views (even during F1) and really good italian food. Honestly the 21 year old probably doesn't care as much about the fancy restaurant, but the fountains are so iconic if you've never been.

HashHash a gogo in the Linq- probably exactly what you're looking for. Food is amazing. Normal prices. Doesn't try to be overly fancy.

Beer park is great for 21 year olds but F1 has it messed up.

In Vegas most of the fancy restaurants and busiest restaurants are on Open Table with free reservations.

BTW, I had fun on my trip. Mostly hung out downtown, but did a stint to the strip and to Ellis island. EI is still one of my favorite spots. It's just fun and the extension where they show the games is good. Why do you need a book if you have an app for betting? Just find a good place to watch the games and wah-la.

Downtown Grand has $1 Blackjack table (pays 1:1 on BJ, continuous shuffle), and $5 craps. DTG is much better than that dump, OYO. Lots of other spots downtown have $10 craps tables, especially midweek.

Ate well, drank a lot, lost $300 over 4 nights.

Biggest downside was staying on Fremont and the extremely loud music going until 2 AM. I had to ask move rooms after the second night. The rooms facing Fremont were terrible, even with earplugs.

I'm going to give out my super duper secret spot here.

Note that I don't know if this is still the case or if we just got lucky.

We were in town last year for the AFC/NFC championship games. We tried like heck to find someone to watch the games that wasn't absurdly expensive and couldn't find anything. We were about to give up and pay like a $300 cover to watch at some boring regular bar, and then we happened to see a sign in front of the Paris.

Apparently there is an outdoor lounge/bar under the Eiffel Tower, but to get there the entrance is at ground level and pretty inconspicuous, so people don't really notice it. We happened to notice a small sign that said there was availability for the games (after kickoff at this point) with nothing more than a minimum spend (reasonable amount if I recall, less than $200, for the group, not per person).

Upstairs was the promised land. Outdoors in the cool air, under the eiffel tower, with private couches and a private TV set up for each group, table service (pretty good food) and incredible views of the Bellagio fountains.

So on a nice comfy couch, to my left is a view of the game on our private TV, to my right a view of the Bellagio fountains at sunset, above me the eiffel tower, with a cocktail wench bringing drinks and food, all for no cover.

Again, I don't know if it's a normal occurance that you can just walk right up to this place and no one knows about it, so don't kill me if not. But if it's still like that, keep it a FBG secret!

Maybe call around for a restaurant near a book. That's what we did for the Super Bowl in 2020 and ended up at a place just upstairs at Cosmo. YMMV.

BTW I would absolutely stay downtown again, maybe spending more on the room so it would be less loud. Downtown is much more my speed. I don't really like huge hotels and huge, fancy casinos. I don't need luxury shopping or fine dining. I want low minimums, good energy, lots of interesting food options, cheap or free drinks, and good service. Downtown ticks those boxes for me.

Why do you need a book if you have an app for betting? Just find a good place to watch the games and wah-la.
Because you are in Vegas and there is something about walking up to a window placing a bet you know you are going to lose and getting laughed at by the guy taking your money because you are just giving your money away. You don't get that kind of service from an app.

:laugh reaction: plus you are spot on... last couple times I was in Vegas, everyone had the "app" and just logged their bets that way. I was like "nah" and just put in all my parlays at the counter.

When I lived in Vegas I used to play parlay cards all the time. We used to wonder how often people hit the longshots, then a buddy hit a 12 teamer. The cashier took a picture of it lol. So I guess not very often. 😄

I hit a 10-game college basketball parlay once. My then-boss had opened an online account somewhere and gave me the login and told me to do whatever I wanted with it, and he'd give me a cut of any winnings. I think it paid like $1,500 or so.

That looks awful. I would never . . .
