There's also a small liquor shop on Fremont that still sells 4 loko's.
Original formula w/ caffeine? The neutered new version is available pretty much anywhere.
I still have close to a case at home (the original). Did a lot of damage on new years. :confused:Dr. D: would love to do early April but I have a submission on a two billion dollar project April 14th. Won't be much chance to kill that many brain cells until the end of the month. I'd you want the number of a really hot really tiny lil Asian stripper though, let me know.

Is the Hilton in the same league as Imperial Palace? I'm going out there for the first weekend of the NCAA tourney with a couple of buddies and the Hilton is really cheap. Is it a cut above the IP type places? Is it possible to walk back and forth between the Hilton and the strip or is that a for sure cab ride? It looks pretty close on the map but that can be misleading. Also, I understand the Hilton has a pretty decent sports book, is that correct? We'll pretty much be holed up there the entire time so we're wanting to stay at a hotel with a good sports book.

Hilton probably a couple of cuts above the IP. Not only do they have a great book, they will annex a showroom for a big event. The monorail stops out front, spend a few bucks and save yourself some hiking.

Hilton is nicer than the IP. With that said, I'd rather stay at the IP because it's location is 100 times superior. You'll spend alot of time commuting to the Strip if you stay at the Hilton.

Booked The Cosmopolitan for early March...
That place is just insane. Full of the d00sher LA mob that used to hit the Palms. The casino is like gambling in a bowling alley. In spots it's as if you can touch both sides of the thing.Tons of girls running around in the "scrunchy short skirt" that basically shows their ### cheek. The noise level is also jet plane landing loud. It is definitely a scene.

Anyone stay in a suite at the Venetian...specifically a Rialto or Piazzi suite? Wondering if they're big enough to sleep 4 comfortably, and if there's enough room to have a half dozen guys drafting in the living room area.
You could probably get away with 3 sleeping with no issue at all. The couch on one side is plenty long to pull it off.

Well if the Hilton has a good sports book we won't really need to go to the strip more than once a day. I stayed at IP once, never again. If we wanna go for location I think we'd prefer the flamingo or ballys, but the Hilton is substantially cheaper than those.

True words. I'm a floater when I go to Vegas and get antsy staying in one spot. I heard the Trop remodeled some rooms, so that may be something to look into also just to avoid the IP.

I was in Cosmo Friday night...pretty quiet scene to be honest....but I did see more short skirted/dressed 20somethings than anywhere else. I agree on how narrow/small it is on the gambling floor...and they also seem to have a bar every 100 feet.Vegas is quiet right now.

Yep, which for us locals makes it a good time to go. Weather is going to start to get great too. Love this time of year for Vegas.

I'd honestly recommend Rio. About the same price as the Hilton, better rooms, and the sportsbook as hot waitresses serving free drinks.

Well, that's certainly a little better news than the Doucheville Culdeus was describing. Is there any reason you, or anybody else here, would cancel and go elsewhere? Also, what's a good restaurant and/or anything else you'd recommend. Including strip clubs. I have not read this thread in awhile and last time I was in Vegas was August (Wynn) and I can't remember the clubs we went to... Thanks.Wait, I just realized we will be there BEFORE March Madness, which is actually good when you think about it. Cosmopolitan sounds like it will be just what Culdeus described during March Madness, but way more guys...

March Madness is great for the betting and poker aspects, but it's not the time to search for chicks. Total sausage fest.

These guys are going to gamble on and watch college basketball. The Hilton Sportsbook is 100 times better than Rio Sports book which looks like a banquet hall. You just said yourself March Madness is a sausage fest, why wouldn't they go to the best sportsbook to watch the games? Sausage better at Rio?

The rooms at the Hilton are two cuts above those at the IP.Hilton Sports book is the best in Vegas IMO. It's a mix of old school Vegas with the deviant gamblers while being big and bad and somewhat modern. Not as fancy as others but with fancy comes all the d-bags anyway. A word of warning though, you will not see any hot chicks there.

Cosmo a good place for a bachelor party? Between that and PHollywood should have plenty of girls half our age.

Looking like the first week in May.

I'll let you know March 6th, ha. Similar situation. Think we're doing it right, just checking. I really liked PH last time I was there, but was 2 years ago for Superbowl, so that could've changed some. Looks like they are 1/2 mile from each other but that doesn't mean they're that "close" really...don't know the area..

Will be there for TigerJam at the Mandalay Bay April 28-30. Headliners for the charity concert are John Mayer and Keith Urban. Will probably go see Darius Rucker at Station Casino the night before. First time I ever used Southwest Vacations. They rock. Got RT airfare for 2, 3 nights at the Mandalay Bay (rooms alone there were $774 with taxes for those 3 dates) and 2 free tickets to see Cirque De Soleil KA at the MGM for $858 out the door, all taxes included.

I thought the Cosmo was essentially accross the street from PHollywood. Then again, in Vegas that's a long ### way.

Got a good package yesterday, the offer is running until Jan 31st. Wife and I are staying a week at MGM Grand April 23-30, in the West Wing. Round trip flight out of Columbus, Ohio; hotel; and 2 tickets to a show of choice for $1262 for the both of us. This price was after a $200 discount I had with Expedia, so it would normally run $1462. Thought it was an excellent deal, and thought I would share with the FBG community after reading through this post for Vegas suggestions.

Vegas.com has the same package going but for slightly higher rates than Expedia.

7 days! Are you friggin crazy? 4 is the max in that town and that's pushing it in my opinion. You better look for a car so you can get away for some time.

Headed back for 4-5 days in August, gb work paying for a vacation to sin city. GSA smartpay conference is my new favorite conference, now I just need them to announce the location so I can figure out where to stay. I've heard tge Venetian offers the govn't rate so may have to stay there.

I'm thinking about flying to Vegas next (Super Bowl) weekend. It would be my first time in Vegas, and it would be just myself. Any recommendations on things for a 25 year old single guy to do besides gambling? What is the best sportsbook to watch the Superbowl? Best place for Hold Em and blackjack?

Also, is Super Bowl weekend even a good time too go? Anyone been to The Strip Super Bowl weekend?

TIA.

Going next weekend for a wedding, staying at the Flamingo. Wedding is at the Monte Carlo. For most of the group it is the first time in Vegas, any first timer tips or things to avoid? I know we will mostly be staying on the strip and because of the wedding. Good food/drink deals anywhere or will we just have to deal with everything overpriced? Most people going are in late 20s with wives/girlfriends.

Good advice, hopefully have a bachelor party there in the fall. Any advice assuming that not bringing them wasn't an option for this trip?

Anyone have insight on a decent hotel deal over Memorial Day Weekend? I assume prices will be high that weekend. Appreciate any tips in advance. Needs to be on the strip and at least a decent place to stay (not IP).

Leaving Sunday for 4 days. Staying at Aria, planning some slots and hold em. Maybe check out Zumanity, wife wants to see it.

On a plane heading there now. I land at 11:50am local and will then be heading to the Wynn in a Rolls (hopefully).
