Flying up to Vegas tonight and will be there through Sunday. I am staying at the Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay. Let's try and meet up and play some poker!Anyone going for the first week of March Madness? I'll be there Thurs-Sun. Staying at the Venetian but plan to migrate all over the strip.
You got it. I'm going Thursday and back Monday.Flying up to Vegas tonight and will be there through Sunday. I am staying at the Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay. Let's try and meet up and play some poker!
I went early for a conference last year. Two full day and nights alone before the conference started. It was the week between championship games and Superbowl, that Sunday/Monday with no football. There was college and nba hoops however, and I did quite a bit of sports gambling and spent plenty of time in the MGM book, and played cards and worked out and walked the strip. I really enjoyed myself and would totally do it again. In fact, I could see myself spending a full football weekend there. However, if it was baseball season alone I would be bored and depressed. The sports gambling is what I most enjoy.Anybody ever go to Vegas alone? Seriously considering it next week. How did it go?
I'm taking a few days off between jobs. I'm a single dad who is pretty busy. Definitely want to get away for a few days somewhere. Just to chill and disconnect. Would be there mon-wed. Gamble and maybe play some golf.
I've been probably 20 times but never alone.
You tried too hard.Maggot Brain said:Heading there tomorrow for an electronics business convention. Wife changed her mind at the last minute and decided to join me after turning down my several offers for the last couple weeks.....women :(
Yes, definitely. Tried the reverse psychology ploy in an attempt to pile up future brownie points. My daughter and a friend had originally planned on taking her in May, so I thought I was safe to keep asking.....I'm a dumb-a**You tried too hard.
Go for it. I had a group of friends who went every March (2nd weekend March Madness) and football weekend. A few got married, one got divorced, one got cancer17seconds said:Anybody ever go to Vegas alone? Seriously considering it next week. How did it go?

, they can still go but its hard to get the group out there. Anyways I've been twice now by myself. I had a blast. You can do your own thing, and don't have to worry about what your friends want to do. Everyone is your friend at the craps table or the sportsbook, relax have a few drinks and enjoy yourself. This. We saw Celine in March and bought tickets in advance. When I went to pick them up, I saw a few people told most days were sold out, and very little was left when they were available. It was also my impression that the cheap tickets sold first. We paid $141 for the pair, but were way in the back.My wife and I are going out there may 20 - may 27. She wants to see Celine. Tickets are about 200 per. Should we buy in advance or hit the kiosks same-day?
Nothing wrong with middle/lower rollers. A free stay is a free stay.I got three free nights at the Plaza any time I want.
Oh, you said high roller. Carry on.
Getting comped a friday and saturday night at luxor when we go in june. Getting comped saturday and sunday night in august at monte carlo. Seem to be pretty common mlife offers.Curious if there are any high rollers in here. I assume a bunch of people here are getting comped, any good offers being sent to FBGs?
Orgyso the wife and I are headed out to Vegas in July to meet another couple we have been friends with a long time. Apparently we are staying at the Mirage.
I'm far from a high roller. This will be my first time to Vegas in well over a decade, and the first time my wife has ever been. We are planning on 4 nights.
Tips?
My wife and I are total rewards members. We've been to Vegas a couple of times and frequent the local casino in the Caesars group once every couple months or so here. Always have comp days available at Harrah's, The Linq...Curious if there are any high rollers in here. I assume a bunch of people here are getting comped, any good offers being sent to FBGs?
The Carnegie Deli in the Mirage is a must for lunch. If it's super crowded, get into the to go line and take it with you.so the wife and I are headed out to Vegas in July to meet another couple we have been friends with a long time. Apparently we are staying at the Mirage.

We're MLife members and play there exclusively. We just hit Platinum status on this trip. Our most common offer is 3 nights at Mirage (regular room) or Monte Carlo (suite) plus some FreePlay and/or resort credit. We can get two nights at Aria or Bellagio. Monte Carlo seems to be pretty liberal with the offers if you stay there once. It'll be interesting to see if our offers get better now that we're a higher level.Curious if there are any high rollers in here. No.i can't take credit for it because I got it from this thread, but my new favorite restaurant is Yardbird at the Venetian. Best fried chicken ever.

I can only speak for what I've tasted, and it's the best fried chicken I've ever had. So, yes.Anybody going next week? I'll be at Caesars. Love me some craps.
Any FBG golfers booked to be in Vegas between now and May 20th?
No takers here at FBG so I gave away two rounds of golf at Royal Links in Vegas to a cool security guy I met on my trip. Need dinner reccomendation for 2 nights this week. If you had 2 places to experience where would you go. The other guy traveling with me is not. Sushi fan fwiw.
Been a few years but was also a Total Rewards member. Used to get comps on the cheaper Harrah's casino's on a regular basis (Bally's, Flamingo, Harrahs) and discounted rooms on the upscale places. You never had to drop much for that level of free room. I was pretty exclusively a craps every once in a while and pai gao the rest of the time player so it's not like I was throwing money around. My wife and I are total rewards members. NotedI like Trevi's in Caesar's Palace (Italian restaurant owned by Morton's steakhouse). I'd probably go there for one of my places.
Huge fan of Yardbird in the Venetian. Also like Delmoninco's in the Venetian for a good steak dinner.Need dinner reccomendation for 2 nights this week. If you had 2 places to experience where would you go. The other guy traveling with me is not. Sushi fan fwiw.
A buddy of mine and his pals were there for that too, said it was insane. We do an 8-person March Madness "draft" and are going to go for a repeat. St. Patty's is on Friday in '17.Got back Monday - was there Thursday to Monday for March Madness and celebrating my and four other guys' 50th birthdays.
Had a great trip, with the highlight being Thursday night at O'Shea's, which happened to be St. Patty's Day. Man, what a good time. I haven't drank that much in a loooong time. We got into some serious beer pong games, and my buddy and I kept winning, which means we kept drinking. We played until the wee hours of the night, and just had a blast.
We ate a lot, drank a lot, gambled a lot, and had another great March Madness trip.
My wife and I always go to Julian Serrano's at Aria. It's a tapas restaurant and we've liked everything we've ever ordered.Need dinner reccomendation for 2 nights this week. If you had 2 places to experience where would you go. The other guy traveling with me is not. Sushi fan fwiw.
RM is very good. I also recommend Aureole, we got the tasting menu and it was excellent. Mix has an incredible roof top patio view, but I was underwhelmed by the food.Heading to Mandalay Bay (Delano specifically) in about 4 weeks for a mid-week short trip for the missus and I to get away from the kids for a few days.
Anyone seen the MIchael Jackson Cirque show? any good?
Any Mandalay/Delano dining recommendations? I definitely plan to eat at RM seafood, the other dinner is up for debate. I really enjoy their Skyfall lounge at Delano, how is the Rivea restaurant next to it? I ate at it before when it was something different.
Craft Steak - get the shared all-cuts so you can eat some of each. So amazing to eat different cuts in succession and really taste the differences. The Carnegie Deli at the Mirage is one of my go-to spots. If the line is long, get in the to go line and take it with you. Awesome pastrami sandwiches.Instinctive said:Gearing up for Thurs-Sun first weekend in May. Our friends have a connection so we're getting a free cabana either Friday or Saturday. In a Mirage suite - things to know about the Mirage?
Im mostly concerned about good food. Not overly expensive ideally.
