Vice Principals, Starring Danny McBride - New HBO Series (1 Viewer)

Oh my goodness that last episode was bizarre.

Dr. Belinda Brown has issues with gin.

Awesome, laughed out loud a few times. Drunk Belinda

ETA: agree with the bizarre but I think that's what I love. Never know what they are going to try to get away with next. GB HBO.

Ms. Abbott
This is my guess. Not too obvious like Belinda or Russell but not too obscure either. Clear motive and crazy enough. My next guess would be Russell's neighbor that Gamby knocked out earlier int he season.

Could be anybody that has appeared in the show other than Gamby's daughter and Snodgrass since Gamby has treated everybody like #### at one point or another.

I read somewhere that one of Russell's last chats with Gamby was oddly one-sided like he was trying to get a confession out of him.  I think it makes most sense that Russell shot Gamby and was going to frame Belinda for it.

I only thought of Belinda Brown when I first saw the episode, but it clearly wasn't her behind the mask.  The body size didn't match.

However after reading some of these other posts, it may very well have been Russell, Ms.Abbott, Bill Hayden, or the guy hired to follow them early on by Belinda Brown.

Just finished off the season... love anything McBride does, Goggins was fantastic too. No clue who shot him, I'd assume Brown.

Dont know what isn't to love with this show. Small details are amazing too, like his ex wife drinking out of an Ed Hardy wine glass :lmao:

Saw episode one of season two. After season one starting slow, I find this show very enjoyable now.

Also Tears in Heaven.  :lmao:

It's the most annoying confusing gangbang I've ever been in in my life.  And trust me, I've been in a few.

:lmao:

It’s weird, I was meh on the first half of season one, but loved the second half. I like the first half of this one okay, but I kinda wish they would do more with the shooting.  I’m not sure I get why they’re humanizing Lee - part of the fun of season one was him being a psychopath and burning down houses.

I don't think they're humanizing him - they show him tearing his dead dad's stuff apart, showed him being a liar as part of getting his wife, firing teachers on the train tracks, etc. etc.

Goggins is amazing in this show, just stellar. I don't really care all that much about the murder stuff, I'm here for the laughs...

But if I was an oddsmaker, you'd have to lay $5 to win $1 betting it was Lee.

I think it was Lee too.

I disgree that theyre not humanizing him though. They showed how his family walked all over him and how he pathetic he is cleaning #### off the painting. We’ll see, though.

How does everyone not love this show?

The little details like Gamby nudging every chair on his way out after arguing with Lee. I mentioned last season, the Virginia Slims :lmao:

His beige denim outfit

I love the new vice principal too, when she approached the old boyfriend in the bathroom last episode, great scene.

Sad that this is coming to an end and I'm gonna have to wait another couple of years for him to do something again.

Mike Ditka, Happy Days #### you got going on.

You look like a very low level mobster.

:lmao:

My favorite character on this show is Ray, although they haven't shown him as much in the second season. I love that no matter how mean or condescending Neal is, Ray remains nice and calm, and usually has something complimentary to say about Neal in return. He's unflappable

"The heights of popularity and patriotism are still the beaten road to power and tyranny"

Ray gets it

Sad it is coming for an end. McBride has shown he has a dark humor side, so don't know what to expect in the finale, but I'm sure I'll binge watch this entire series at some point in the next 2-3 years.

Was a very enjoyable two seasons.

Soooo does anyone think Lee didn’t shoot Gamby?  It struck me as odd that he never admitted to it during the accusations.

So I just got pretty stoned and rewatched the last episode. I'm gonna put a spoiler in the bottom of this post if you weren't paying attention to next weeks preview, which gives it way, basically.

First off, I'm gonna miss this show. Think he could've stretched it to 25 episodes and made 3 seasons, just not McBrides style though, unfortunately.

I just love all the details, like the actual appearance of the "bad kids," when he's being escorted out and Abbott spits on him, he starts reading Lee's dairy "mm/dd/yyyy, I was kicked out of gymnastics today" then Lee cuts him off and agrees to leave. Also would like to add the new vice principal chick is by far my favorite character.

I don't connect with all of his jokes, but most are enjoyed, it's really the attention to detail that brings me over the top from enjoying his stuff, to loving it.

In the preview:

There is a scene where Lee is sitting in a room with Gamby's entire crime wall and crime scene images. Looked like he's in there by himself - clearly the intention is too solve Gamby's attempted murder. What's even better is how the suspect list is laid out... Under "associates" was Ray & his daughter. Funny looking at the suspects too, Abbott obviously up there along with Bill Murray the original principal

:lmao: , Deyshaun, Seshell, and I forget who else...

And with the end of the last episode, obviously Abbott...

Let's be real though, nobody suspected her a few weeks ago.

Prob gonna have to wait another 3-4 years for him to do something else :kicksrock:

Loved this show!
