4. Marcus Vick Ht/Wt: 6’0, 215 Yr: Junior College: Virginia Tech

Scouting Report: Vick was kicked out of Virginia Tech after stepping on an opposing player in the Gator Bowl. It was the latest in a string of churlish off-the-field incidents that prove Vick has a lot of growing up to do. He also looked like a turd in pre-draft interviews. Still, Vick has as much promise on the field as any quarterback in the draft. He’s more accurate as a passer than his brother Michael is now. Based on their development in college, Marcus has more potential as a pocket passer.

Outlook: Vick has to overcome a lot of bad press, but we don’t understand rankings that list him outside the top 15 quarterbacks coming out. Sure, he’s going to need to develop at the next level, but what young quarterback doesn’t? Few have the raw potential of Marcus Vick and that’s why we still suspect he’ll be a first day pick when push comes to shove.

This is the same league that drafted Lawrence Phillips in the top ten. Maurice Clarett was a first-day pick after not playing football in two years. Ultimately, there are plenty of teams who will look past off-field disgressions for talent. This ranking isn’t based on where he will be drafted anyhow. It’s on future potential for fantasy leaguers. Vick has that in abundance because of his skills running the football.

Draft Buzz: The talking heads all agree that Vick will get taken in the sixth round or worse. Many claim he won’t get drafted at all. They said the same thing about Clarett. They also said Terrell Owens would get a $1 million contract with incentives because of concerns about his character. A team like Oakland, Tampa Bay, Denver, or even Atlanta will to be too intrigued with Vick to let him slip deep into the second day of the draft.

Player Comparison: Michael Vick Draft Prediction:: Denver

I think you missed one on your Player Comparison: Adrian McPherson Draft Prediction: Oakland.I do not think Denver will not draft him after the Clarett fiasco.

that's not me, that's Greg RosenthalInteresting point though. You're thinking burned once and he's likely thinking they did it last year why not again.

ESPN has a nice article about character and how it is that teams are looking more closely it that trait than ever before.

ESPN

"Teams with a large veteran contingent or a strong-willed head coach seem more willing to take chances with questionable character."
