So after he bashed the NYG's for not congratulating them after their win, he doesn't move off the bench to congratulate the packers. What a hypocrite.
Great thread.
Now I feel like crap for chuckling at this. Thanks a lotDriver stuck out his hand, but Vick said: "I'm not going to shake that puppy."
He also came up to shake Rodger's hand during Rodger's interview after the game. Perhaps he needed a few minutes to collect himself after the loss. who could blame him?IMO the OP's opinion is really quite a stretch.

It's called life goes on. (No offense. I used to be the same way)IMHO I wouldn't either. I don't get how you as a player can shake hands with the team that just beat you in the playoffs, acting as if you didn't even just play the game. I know it always bothered me when I was younger and lost. Still does
Because they don't care all that much about winning or losing. The money still shows up in the bank account. They'd like to win, but this is a job. The guys who beat them are co-workers. The fans hold grudges; the players smile and schedule tee times.IMHO I wouldn't either. I understand the concept of money in sports. You can find some if you do a search. Plus, MVP candidates get more attention, especially ones who have spent time in prison.Where the list of all the other players and/or coaches who did this and their thread?
I heard he pissed and didn't wash his hands either after the game. Link to follow. You can find some if you do a search. Plus, MVP candidates get more attention, especially ones who have spent time in prison.Where the list of all the other players and/or coaches who did this and their thread?
Honestly, I wish they would do away with the meeting in the middle of the field period. There are two groups of fans who wring their hands needlessly over them:1) ______________ player/coach does not go shake other side's hand. I have never been sure why this shows sportsmanship, but that maybe a thread discussion on its own. As a player (kid) I though it as something that was a tradition that noone evey really explain why it was a tradition.2) ______________ player/coach goes to center of the field and has the nerve to smile or even laugh a little bit with the other side. Even when it is documented that the players/coaches involved have a long history, this fan gets mad because his team's player is not angry enough over losing. Let's be for real, there would be a negative Mike Vick thread, if he went over after the game and had a quick chuckle with Rodgers. Instead of a bad sportsman, he would not take the game seriously. You people have no idea about the concept of sportsmanship.Because they don't care all that much about winning or losing. Saw him congratulating several and in the big prayer circle at midfield.I guess people just like to bash the guy.

Vick may have not sprinted off the bench as soon as the clock went to 00:00 , but he did go out on the field after the game to congratulate the Packers. The OP needs to do a little more research before starting a thread like this.

You can't possibly be serious. Sure, the players don't hold grudges, but to say they don't care as much about winning as fans do is ludicrous. You couldn't be more wrong about this.I understand the concept of money in sports. Capitalization is good sportsmanship on message boards.i've played/coached alot of games. dont quite understand all the to do about ''sportsmanship''. if you compete as hard as you can and dont cheap shot anyone...this is great sportsmanship in my opinion and is all you owe your compititors. sure i have always shook hands with my competition after a game, but if one of my compititors didnt shake my hand...it wouoldnt bother me in the least.
As someone else who has played/coached many games in my time. This is BS. Always respect your opponent(s) after the contest, win, lose, or draw.i've played/coached alot of games. dont quite understand all the to do about ''sportsmanship''. if you compete as hard as you can and dont cheap shot anyone...this is great sportsmanship in my opinion and is all you owe your compititors. sure i have always shook hands with my competition after a game, but if one of my compititors didnt shake my hand...it wouoldnt bother me in the least.
im not sure you read/understood my post.i always shook hands with with my comp's after the game (win, lose, or draw). would you take it personal if someone didnt shake your hand after a contest? i wouldnt, but maybe im in the minority. As someone else who has played/coached many games in my time. You're not the minority and the only ones that care are the ones who've never played. Even if Vick didn't every GB packer wouldn't have cared or remembered unless it was someone he had a personal relationship with.2323 said:im not sure you read/understood my post.i always shook hands with with my comp's after the game (win, lose, or draw). would you take it personal if someone didnt shake your hand after a contest? i wouldnt, but maybe im in the minority.Big_Russel said:As someone else who has played/coached many games in my time. I never hear anyone say "he was a murderer" or "he was a convicted felon", it is always, "he's a murderer" or "he's a convicted felon".So Vick will always be a Dog Killer. Was a dog killer. Not anymore big fella.emge said:Vick is a poor sport. He is also a Dog Killer.
I have no issues with Vick and I actually like his comeback story but you can't say he WAS a dog killer. At one point in his life he killed dogs, so he will always be a dog killer. To the original poster, it would be nice if you would come back and eat a little crow and admit what a useless thread this is.Was a dog killer. Not anymore big fella.emge said:Vick is a poor sport.
