Conventional wisdom is that you should carry a solid backup as a Vick owner, given his propensity for injuries. Anybody gambling and not carrying a backup, with the idea that you'd bank Vince Young when he goes down? What are the thoughts on how VY could score for fantasy purposes in that offense?

I'm considering dropping Eli to pick up Brandon Gibson in a 10 team league. Seems crazy, but roster spots are really valuable early in the season when positional battles/roles are being established.

I would keep Eli. Although I would like Vick to play 16 games, conventional wisdom plays the under. You drafted a solid backup because you already knew this. Why change your strategy after one week? Vince Young has not earned the confidence of any Eagles fan that I know, or any other NFL fan. Further, you're also gambling that you'll have the fastest trigger should someone else be thinking the same thing : you'll be the first owner to pickup VY should Vick go down.It's a hard call I know because your bench slots are small. You almost feel like you're wasting a bench slot. But then again, you drafted a QB that could blow up the fantasy QB scene. Consider a risk reward and deal with it.
