Also with that, the original withcer is $2.49. I never played it. I think for that price, I will.Witcher 2 on sale today. It was around $16 I think.'The Tick said:'SlaX said:I've seen The Witcher 2 listed once. Maybe it was a flash sale. I don't remember the price. Those are the two big games i'm really looking for. Hope i haven't missed a flash deal on either of these.Darn, hopefully it comes back. Otherwise it's on an ok sale for $24 dollars throughout the summer sale, and that's probably the best price I've seen on it. So either way there is a good chance I get it, this is one of the games I've really wanted, and besides a steam sale, i doubt it gets below $19 for a year or so.
IN! Thanks! My order today will be that and LA Noire, I've wanted to try it and $5 works for me.Witcher 2 on sale today. I may have, I can't remember. Now that I got that out of the way, man, so many console games I am looking forward too. Should be a good season. Reading all the articles out of the E3 coverage has me pretty stoked. Many games even that I wouldn't have thought I'd ever be interested in, like the next Lara Croft installment. Really excited about Last of Us, Dead Space 3 and Borderlands II. Oh, and the XCOM game. Some others that I had never even heard of but that sound impressive. Should be a good 12 months for gamers I think.Anyone played Amnesia? I've heard it's scary as ####.

Yea. that is the big one I want. I still play the original to this day and it came out in 1993. This is the first true remake of the game that looks to capture the classic gameplay with modern graphics. It's very good. And yes, it's pretty scary. It's the best fun you'll have running for your life. And best horror game since Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.Anyone played Amnesia? I've heard it's scary as ####.

Depends on what you like, really. Crysis is very popular if you like kind of a sci fi setting. I called out Metro 2033 as a decent game if you like post-apocalyptic, scarce resource, horror-thriller type games. If you like playing an assasin, the Hitman deal the other day would be up your alley. I'm sure there's others if you like war settings or pure horror settings.Any suggestions on one of the best single player first person shooter people are seeing sales on? I haven't played one in a bunch of years, but if there is something pretty great for a good price, maybe i give one a try. Was looking at Far Cry 2 and that had some pretty good reviews.Any FBG gamer suggestions for best FPS on the steam sale?
I was watching someone play this yesterday and I thought it looked very interesting. Is Arma II worth the $23.99 alone, or is DayZ the only reason to buy?Anyone play the DayZ mod for ARMA II? It's been getting fairly popular lately and looks interesting, even if it is buggy w/ bad graphics.
Hitman is not an FPS and its way different than your typical Gears of War style shooter. Its a stealth game and its third person. More about creeping than run and gun.Depends on what you like, really. Crysis is very popular if you like kind of a sci fi setting. Arma II sucks. DayZ is fun, but not a lot of depth. Zoms are virtually no risk after awhile and then the game only becomes about killing other players. It's a cool idea but I wish there was more to do in the game.I was watching someone play this yesterday and I thought it looked very interesting. Thanks for the insight. I read some reviews and it didn't sound like my kind of game. Maybe someone someday will make a better zombie survival game.Arma II sucks. DayZ is fun, but not a lot of depth. I've played this a bit more and can provide a better explanation of the game than I did the first day. First of all, I'm really loving it. Of all the games I've purchased this week, Binding of Isaac has gotten the most playtime. I mentioned before that the game resembles the Legend of Zelda's dungeons and that's true. The game plays like a twin-stick shooter (think Smash TV, Geometry Wars, etc) and a roguelike. If you're not familiar with what a roguelike is, Wikipedia's definition states that a roguelike is a sub-genre of role-playing video games, characterized by level randomization, permanent death, and turn-based movement. The only big difference in this game is that it's not turn-based movement and most roguelikes are known to be ASCII-text games. But the definition fits. The dungeons are random. The power-ups are random. The game also has pills instead of scrolls, which do random effects (in one game a completely red pill may fill your health or make you stronger, the next, it may take away health, make you weaker or absolutely nothing). It's weird. You can tell it has a lot of Zelda influence, as the game is based off of exploring the dungeons and it is fun. I think it's made as a game to play when you don't want to put too much time into it, because once you die, the game is over and you have to start over (no saving) and dying is pretty easy to do. It's worth a purchase at $2. I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise.Slax how is The binding of issac?
I picked up Payday for 5 bucks. Who knows when I'll get to play it but I'm a fan of that co-op style.
A couple of my Gears follows on Youtube have been doing walkthroughs of this. Looks pretty creepy.Anyone played Amnesia? I've heard it's scary as ####.

And speaking of looks, every power-up stacks on top of the last one and you get to see what different combinations of power-ups work better against enemies, and each power-up has a different effect on the look of the character. I've seen some really weird looking guys. I once had 3 eyes (shoots 3 shots instead of one), was wearing my "Mom's" underwear (range increase) and her lipstick (also range), while wearing caca on my head, flies flying around me for defense and a closehanger stuck through my skull.
To say it's disgustingly brutal is an understatement. The imagery is downright grotesque and the story moreso. That's why I call it a weird game. But it's fun to play and has plenty of replay value since you'll likely never play the same game twice.
Final verdict: worth a buy. Definitely at the currently discounted $2.50 price and especially if it goes back to 75% off.
God, was it a pain in the ### to copy/paste all of those keys into GFWL. The game's good though. We'll have to play sometime. At least most of the DLC is cosmetic, if you don't get it in. It's disappointing that they charge extra for that crap. I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't come with the pack.FWIW the keys for Gotham City Imposters will run out soon per a Steam announcement.

I am not sure. I have never had the problem but know people that have. I wonder if maybe you could change settings to help? Maybe decrease mouse sensitivity or decrease resolution?Anyone have any suggestions for combating motion sickness in some of these FPS-style games? I had absolutely no problem with the entire Mass Effect series, but Deus Ex HR is killing me. I can only go about a half-hour before I break out in a sweat. Google suggests ginger tablets and/or some kind of wristband. Figured I'd see if a savvy FBG has another remedy.
Yeah I've toyed with several settings. Some help a little, particularly mouse sensitivity so the camera isn't swaying 120 degrees so quickly. It sounds like the ultimate culprit is 'head bob', where the camera bobs as you walk. I'm not sure why game developers feel that feature is necessary.I am not sure. Nauseous here too. I first discovered this with GoldenEye on N64. For years I assumed 3D gaming just wasn't for me but then I tried Mass Effect and thought the disability was cured. Apparently not.The game Amnesia has the same problem. It not only gives me a headache but makes me nauseous.
I went out and bought it as well. this game is ridiculously time absorbing (in a good way). went to bed at 3 am on a work nite...FMLA GB and I bought Civ IV. We played 1 game for 12 straight hours. We finished this morning at 4AM.![]()
I've heard from many that the Half-Life series has the same effect on them. It's as if games require a sway to the walk before they won't get that. I've never had the problem from these games. All of the time with me. It's because of this crazy thing called life, family, job, etc.Anyone have this "problem"? I was big into Black Ops (at least 2 hours a day). But then because I didn't have access I didn't play for a week and just never went back. Rinse and repeat for Mass Effect and now Diablo 3. I'll be way into a game but if I get any kind of break (4+ days) I never go back.WTF?
Well, the reasons don't really matter to me. I just think it's weird that a little break totally throws off my desire to play a game I'd been playing a ton.All of the time with me. How big of a screen are you playing on? I have a 52" very nice HDTV and a 22" monitor that I have my girlfriend's and my xbox's hooked up to side by side and I can't play on the big screen because I get sick.
