Oh snap I need sting
This was the #1 reason I pre-ordered the game. I wanted a legit Sting. I was a huge mark as a kid (even going as Sting one Halloween). I think the old-school sting looks good, but the Crow Sting looks weird. I'm comparing him to the very nice CAW that I downloaded in WWE2k14. The movesets are spot on, but they were also in the CAW. My favorite addition to 2k15 is the Wyatt Family entrance. It's a thing of beauty and something that isn't in 2k14. I haven't really seen all of the entrances from all of the new superstars, but I was amazed at how good the Wyatt entrance was on the 360. Anyone that was already in 2k14 was barely touched, though.

As I told Tony Jabroni, I know it sounds like I'm really knocking the game, but I'm not. I honestly think 5.9 is way too low of a rating. I just think it's not worth buying if you already own 2k14. But if you don't, it's still a very fun wrestling game and you won't regret the purchase.
Wyatts entrance is great.

I also went as Sting for Halloween one year..and The Rock, Hurricane, The Dudleys (my buddy and I put some guy through a card table at a party), Flair..

:bag:
I went as Road Warrior Hawk another year for Halloween. With shoulder pads and everything. It looked awesome. Much better than my Sting gear did. When I went as Sting, my mom tried to die my hair blonde and it came out greenish which didn't help. I had way too many people asking me what I was supposed to be that year. :bag:

I kinda feel like we're moving too much wrestling talk into the video game thread. I'm sorry for that. I'll try to keep it strictly to the game next time.

I do too. But it doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon. :(
Buddy of mine that I grew up with was in charge of Social Gaming at EA and then went to Zynga and is now just raking in cash as a consultant has been saying this has been the direction for about 6 years. That's why you see such a huge split between the hugely popular indie games and the mass produced AAA games. For the big guys, it's about profit and profit is in micro fees.

Here you go...enjoy the game. These are for PS4/One Madden 15 developed by yours truly.

Hello Maddenites!!!

I am very excited to say I have finally made the leap to Next Gen with the PS4. And the primary reason I pulled the trigger earlier than I thought I would was because of this game. I am very excited for Madden football this season. As some of you know I played Madden 25 on the PS3 (still have a classic season replay going as I post this) from launch and still going. I thought it was the best Madden I had played since Madden 2005. I was able to develop a pretty solid slider set that focused on player ratings, the no user catch on offense, and no switch rule on defense.

When I say no user switch on defense I mean once you select your player you do not switch ever. You let your CPU teammates make the play if your not near the ball. This adds a big layer of strategy in who you decide to control each play, and puts a focus on team building. It really opens up the CPU offense in that regard. It is up to you how you want to play. But I want to make this fairly important disclaimer that this slider set will be developed playing this style of Madden football.

I also want to stress as I always do that no slider set is universal. Please use the set as a base and tweak to your skill level. Some people will love this set, some will not. I ask for those who are blowing out your CPU opponents on a regular basis and what not...just move on then. This set may not be for you. I consider myself a good sim style Madden player. And I can crush the CPU (as most players who have been playing Madden for like...forever) if I exploit the game. That is not what I am trying to do. I want to keep the thread with good, insightful and helpful posts from mature players who approach the game in a similar fashion. Posting box scores/videos is always welcomed. Basically....let's keep it clean fellas!

As far as general settings I can say I will be playing with 15 minute quarters no doubt. I always do. As far as the clock runoff I am holding out until I play the game and get used to the new play calling menu to see how much time I will need. On M25 I had a runoff to 18 seconds.

Game speed will be on slow and my default camera is zoomed. I am looking forward to using the camera toggle on the fly though to keep the game fresh. I can also say I will be using the new defensive player cam on obvious passing situations as I love to play on the DE/DL. When I play as a LB or Safety I will use the zoomed camera. I love the fact we can toggle on the fly.

As far as play calling rules, it's pretty simple. Use your entire playbook, keep yourself from cheesing the CPU with any money play you may discover in your time with the game. Again. I don't user catch, I don't switch on defense and I call a highly diverse playbook both on offense and defense.

I will have the game tomorrow and will begin playing and testing on All-Pro. That could change as I played on All-Madden last year but from everything I am reading/seeing, All-Pro presents a great challenge this year vs the CPU.

In the past I always have found playing on slow with no user catching triggers the many awesome catch animations you hear about. That is a cornerstone to this slider set. Playmakers was my primary influence in regards to unlocking that aspect of the game. I have always enjoyed his work in the past.

User catching update - I typically never user catch. However this year I have noticed on deep post's, streaks etc the WR's regardless of ratings are not fighting for the ball while the DB's are attacking it. So with that I began to take control of the WR on bombs only when they are covered tightly. If they break free and get a couple of steps I just lead them to the ball and do not have to user catch...but most of the time they are covered (thank you EA for making deep balls rewarding again) so as soon as I release I take control of the WR to go get the ball. It's fun, it feels earned and have at it. It won't affect your joy and simulation of the game at all. But do not do it on all other passes. Just streaks, post's and hail mary's!

I do have a twitch account and will post when I will broadcast a full game for viewing if anyone is ever interested. When I play on twitch I will not skip too much broadcast elements other than not allow some mindless replays to play out so we can get the next play called and move the game along.

So strap on the helmet, and let's get ready for some Madden 15!!!

1.4 will be my final settings. The only thing that can get me testing again is after the big patch drops and if they have game play fixes in the notes. But I see them doing tuners this year for gameplay fixes....so any tuners or patches will be looked at.

Thank you everyone, for the feedback....of course discussion amongst yourselves regarding the sliders etc is always welcomed, box scores etc.

I will be posting my CFM box scores and game stories here for your enjoyment.

I am now officially in playing Madden mode and also getting back to my MLB The Show franchise and classic season replays. If your a follower of my channel (Todem23) on Twitch join me for some game broadcasts (Show and Madden) in the future.

Once again enjoy the game, have fun, and don't get slideritis!!! Nitpicking the game will drive you mad. It's not perfect, there are things you have to accept...sliders don't fix everything. But gentlemen, this is hands down the best console football game ever made bar non IMO....put to bed the ghosts of 2K past...seriously..they are dated on the field compared to this...just my opinion of course. I also suggest player lock on defense in the defensive cam if you want a real challenge! Amazing fun.

Tuner Update!!! EA released a tuner on 9/5/14 which addressed the user pass rush. I am happy to report EA has fixed this issue and no QB edits are needed at all to enjoy the game. I have played 3 test games thus far and have updated the slider set below to 1.4

These sliders were tested and developed exclusively for play in CFM only. I do not play Madden in "play now". Play now does play different than CFM due to confidence, XP and schemes.

Watch player confidence in CFM...it''s a very powerful variable that can/will significantly lower or raise your ratings and dice roll results on passes, catches, fumbles, sacks, tackles, INT's.

That is why Play Now and CFM play totally different.

Confidence can be a killer or great for your team and especially your QB. It is a new dynamic system that I feel is a real game changer inside CFM and far exceeds the hot/cold streaks of the last several years

thanks I'm having some good games on default all pro for now but will need to change it

I jumped in one game of evolve alpha and was really bored.

Friends\teamwork probably makes or breaks this one.

I have an Alienware rig coming in the next week or so. This will be the first time in over 5 years that I can run current PC games.

Any recommendations? Shadows of Mordor is a must buy. After that? I'm more of a Skyrim/role playing guy, though I don't hate first-shooters if they have a sci-fi twist.

Anything else?
What did you get? I've been looking at their stuff for a while, but waiting until DDR4 comes out (which it just did) to buy anything.

Thoughts on it?
I'm not an overly knowledgable computer guy, which is why I bought Alienware instead of building my own rig.

That said, I'm very happy. Here's the specs -

Alienware X51

Intel i5 (dual 3.20 Ghz) - couldn't afford the i7

16 GB RAM

NVIDEA GeForce 745 Video Card

That rig runs Shadow of Mordor at its highest graphic settings without a problem.

Also, Alienware is owned by Dell now, so you get Dell's service people if something goes wrong - and word around the campfire is it's really good.

As a perk, Alienware comes with its own gaming software that, with one icon click, will -

1. Open your game

2. Open any web pages you want (like wikis)

3. Close unessential programs to optimize your PC for gaming alone

4. Open a recording program (i.e. if you want to post clips to youtube or something)

5. Open your media player to a specific play list for that game.

It's a spinning rim, sure, but it's pretty nifty.

As for games, I've been sticking to Mordor. I did nab Fallout: New Vegas for $7 during Steam's Halloween sale, so I could replay it on Hardcore mode. It's pretty incredible how dated a 2010 game looks compared to Mordor.

Any new good party games out for the Wii U? I have a lot of family coming for thanksgiving and want something for us all to play.

Thanks, getting pretty close to getting one of their systems. Was originally looking at the x51's, but it looks like they are holding off updating those. May consider one of the new Area51's, pricey, but damn, they have some power.

I have an X51, it's the first rig I didn't build. Pretty sweet rig, but you pay a premium for the specs. HDD already crashed so I'm going to throw a SSD in there for gaming and continue to enjoy.

I've tried these things from time to time. Arcade games need an arcade cabinet, imho. Just not the same.
:goodposting: although I did waste a good 45 minutes Today reliving one of my favorite 80's arcade game.. Galaga :)
Love me some Galaga.

Funny, you kind of never forget. Saw a Galaga machine on a cruise ship a few years ago. Hadn't played for at least 15 years - dropped in a quarter, and played for a good 20 min on it - was right back to about my old skill level (somewhere around level 20-25 or so).

I'd rather play them on MAME than on a flash site. I have an arcade cabinet that I plan on converting to a MAME cabinet someday soon.
This is on a long-term to-do list. Would be a fun project.
Here is a thread from way back that had a lot of information on building them :)

I have an X51, it's the first rig I didn't build. Pretty sweet rig, but you pay a premium for the specs. HDD already crashed so I'm going to throw a SSD in there for gaming and continue to enjoy.
See, this is why I bought the Alienware rig. I have no idea what you're talking about here.

Nothing wrong with that, you know enough to buy a good rig.

I had purchased 2 GTX 970's last month. This month, NVidia announced a free game with a purchase of that card (pick 1 of Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 or The Crew). I chat with Newegg, 1 hour later and I have 2 codes in my inbox. Newegg, you are the best. Now I have to decide if I want to gift those or keep 1?

FarCry 3 was awesome, I'd definitely go with 4. I don't know anything about the Crew. I used to really like AC but the gameplay got kind of stale. I don't think you'd be disappointed in Far Cry 4.

Hard Disk Drive vs Solid State Drive

HDD is the classic hard drive that spins to get to data. SSD has no moving parts.

You have those in the same setup or for two different boxes? Either way supposed to be a great card. I have almost always used ati cards, but looking more and more like my next box is moving to an nvidia. Reviews look too good right now. If I get that alienware box probably throw in the gtx980.

I was looking at an Alienware because I really wasn't in the mood to build one myself. Instead I bought this and then one of these. It turns out the power supply didn't have a PCI-e connector so I had to buy a new one. Overall though it it was like $300 cheaper than the Alienware with a better processor and the same graphics card.

Ahhh, ok. I actually know what a solid state drive is because of this board.

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG that Overwatch trailer.

Just announced at Blizzcon, Blizzard's first original franchise in 17 years is Overwatch. Looks to be like an Arena Shooter featuring some other objectives beyond deathmatch.

I may have brought it up before, but for the FBGs getting the new WWE 2k15 game are you getting it on the Xbox One or PS4? It might be fun to quasi-FFA league going if we have enough guys one system.

Hopefully they'll add defending titles online for the next-gen version. Otherwise, you'll have to keep track of that yourself.

An informal title is alright, but they really should have this already in the game. It makes so much sense.

Yeah, I always hated that. Some friends and I had a ladder match series in WWE 2k14 and we wanted to basically create a championship for it, but there wasn't an option to use a title in the matches, so we had to keep up with who won and who was champion. We just gave up with it. It was still awesome to play, though.
