Uncharted Collection anyone?

I'm trying to find out how much they changed the games when they brought them over to PS4. If they used the controls for 3 on 1&2 then this could be epic. (No online play if that's your thing but does include beta access to the online for 4 when the 4 beta launches.)
There is a demo available.

Anyone play Dragons Age inquisition? I don't remember it getting much hype but the reviews are pretty good. I played about 10 minutes of it on ea access and thought it was cool. Don't know if I want to get sucked into something that big right now but seemed fun.
There's a thread on it. The tl;dr version is that it's good not great, I think.

Show Update (cause I know you all care)

Won MVP, Cy Young, and Rookie of the year. Led league in W, ERA, WHIP, and K. My P will end the year (hoping to get a pt or 2 out of the playoffs) 87-88, huge one year jump.

When you get your guy up to the high 90s overall, is it even fun anymore?

I care! I like RTTS updates.

And, yes it is. Then you go for breaking records. I broke Nolan Ryan's strikeouts in a season record by something like 50 strikeouts. And the game I passed his mark, I threw a no-hitter. It was rewarding.

Not sure if I can hit a guy enough times such that he charges the mound and I can go all Ryan-Ventura on him though. That might not be in the game.

There is a thread. I really like it.

I may be going back to it now because you posted actually. I got the Show after working in baseball all summer and have been all about it with the playoffs now, but I'm sure I'll be ready for a change of pace soon.

I've been looking at getting back into Inquisition. It's been on the back burner since I bought the PS4 and got into XCom.

Gotta finish XCom first though. So addicting and such a great game.

Just finished Witcher 3, incredible game, can't wait for the first expansion to drop next week.
Yup, the expansion is supposed to be huge.
#### - as if the regular game hasn't sucked away enough of my life. Between that and Fallout 4 I won't have to buy another game for a year.

Well, except X-Com 2.

I've been waiting to do a second play through of Inquisition until they released all the DLC, and the last one came out a week or two ago, so I'll be going back to it soon.

I happen to get Veterans Day off from work, it's the day after realease date for Fallout. I know what I'll be doing that whole day.

I was playing Diamond Dynasty online against other people's teams but not other people live. Played one team that was obviously a cheater of some kind. He had all the best players and his customer Diamond Dynasty guy was all 99s. Every time he came up to bat, I pegged him. Was very satisfying.

I bought Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition on sale for $25 on Amazon. Wife has already had divorce papers drawn up.
Wife is supposed to play that game with you. My non-gaming significant other loved it.
My girlfriend is a gamer but she loves this game. It definitely hits a niche that non gamers can work with. If they are having some trouble with killing just have them loot everything and play support.

Is DD an easier way to get cards or points? I finally figured out how to use tickets, and used a few thousand to get player points....but the card game seems pointless. I might have 5 per team.

Football season got me longing for some good football video gaming so I fired up Madden 25 on the XBox 360 (that part of the sentence must sound like I'm stuck in the past) and for whatever reason decided to make the games 15 minutes quarters with a fast play #### that goes down to 9 seconds every play by the time I get to the line.

Have to say that playing this game this way is about the most enjoyable way I have ever played the game. The results of the game and the stats are so much more realistic and actually makes the playcalling and strategy so much more fun. I should have done this a long time ago.

ETA: Why is "clock" edited? ....... ah....... type-o. Oops. Didn't mean too. Please don't give me a warning. I really meant clock. As in time keeper.

Reading that I was really trying to figure out what word went in place of ####.

Looking forward to WWE coming in so I can play with my son, haven't touched a wrestling game in decades.
WWE 2K14 was pretty awesome. Last year's was ok, but I felt the transition to next-gen was weak and the last-gen version was more of the same, except with less. This year's game is expected to be a step up, but we'll see. I still consider WWE 2K14 the best wrestling game since No Mercy on the N64.

My son and I are taking turns on the Battlefront beta. Seems like a good game so far. I ran into some massive rubber-banding on the Hoth map a couple of times, and this is DICE so I assume launch week will be a cluster-####, but I'm in.

You definitely get both faster in dd

I played the beta for about an hour... If I'm being honest, I probably got enough of it to know that I shouldn't buy it. I played both maps and they're just so generic and boring. I got really into it at first because of the sounds of the blasters and the homages, but after a few rounds it was just kinda meh.

Darkest Dungeon is on sale on steam for $11.95 this weekend. At that price point I will probably pick it up and just wait for the full release before I start playing it.

I have never purchased an item on Steam before. Am I correct in assuming if I buy a pre release game like DD, that I can just get the upgrades as they come or do I have to repurchase the game when it goes to a 1.0 status.

I'm downloading the beta today and will give it a try this weekend. I'm so glad they're doing that because it gives me a chance to evaluate before choosing to buy it over Fallout 4. If it can't hold my interest than I can just drop it.

After the Reds lost in the playoffs (to the eventual champion Nationals), they offered me a 6 yr / $8.5M contract (ACE level it said). I ignored it.

Three days later I get traded to the Pirates for Andrew McCutchen and two young AA arms. Whoa. I'm ignoring the Pirates contract offer 6 yrs/ $7.8M and halfway through spring training. Curious to see what happens.

Played about an hour of Final Fantasy X HD on the PS4.

Looks awesome. No clue what's going on.

JRPGs are weird.
That is probably one of my all time favorite games. It's one of the more linear in the FF series and I usually don't like that, but for some reason I love that game. Finished it multiple times and I'm still not 100% sure wtf is going on...The HD version will be one of my early purchases when I get a PS4. I still play the PS2 disk on my original big ### PS3 that supported old discs.

PS4 special at Best Buy, $349-429.....Star Wars Battlefront or Uncharted

LINK
Don't think it's a special, Sony announced a price drop on the PS4 systems yesterday. That should be the new pricing going forward. But yeah, I'm considering the same thing, but I'll probably wait for the holiday time where they likely package another game in there.

Gotcah, thanks Tick. I want a 1TB machine, but I don't want Battlefield. We'll see what rolls around come the Holidays.

Also, can you use the PS4s as streaming devices (netflix, etc) yet?

Yeah, I was surprised that the Battlefield one was the only 1TB option on there. Stuff I read said they were using the 1Tb as a draw to sell the old hw platform, so once those were gone we supposedly were going to start seeing more of them.No idea from me on the streaming stuff.

Nailed it. This is exactly how I felt. I played the Mission mode, then maybe 3 rounds on the Hoth level. By that point I was bored and went back to playing Destiny. This game definitely got pushed way back for me.

If you buy a game at pre-release, you own the full game when it goes 1.0 status. Any paid DLCs are treated the same was as if you bought it post release.

The only exceptions are remakes and redux versions. Such as the recently released Metro Redux versions. I own the originals and would have to pay for them again to buy the updated version.

Netflix is on there as well as some others I don't recall off the top of my head. Hulu and Amazon seem to pop into my mind but don't take my word as gospel on those.
